Just been to Toyzone and they've stopped selling Xbox 360s. Says they had too many returns.

Hear it's the same with Toy's R Us.

Do you guys think other shops will soon follow?

Yep!

Won't stop me from selling a few new (cost price has gone up) and pre-owned units though :D

If the others are also too concerned about dealing with administrative issues and are willing to lose out on profits, then yes they will.

Maybe they are 2nd best because Microsoft keeps having to have more manufactured cause of so many RROD's ?

I thought the whole return saga ended ages ago?

yes, unfortunately not :D

fixed for you ....... if you haven't owned one, how can you say it's a major let down ;) I still haven't been let down by mine .... and if I am, hey, I'll just get a free new one :D

I don't have to own a POS to know it's a POS.

I mean, they don't want to sell them anymore because of all the people that want to return their xbox's.

then there is the fact that games will be sold for R1000.

there you go - 2 let downs.

Um this is old news, Reggies stopped a while back, and teh duty free shops at Jburg international recently stopped selling them too (as well as the games)

1) The returns are mostly all the old units
2) Yeah the 1k price is a rip off but I can at least rent the games I want for R99 a month .... or trade .... or buy pre-played ;)

The official statement was that they are a kids toy store and the XBox 360 doesn't have games appealing to that market. Don't think their sales were justified.

People will just buy their consoles elsewhere :/ Lost income, I guess.

EDIT: but this is old news, it happened over 6 months ago already.
