That's the beauty of having an Xbox and a (to me at least) beast of a PC ... the difference being that when cash is not so flush I can at least rent some games.

Ever since I got my PS3, I only use my PC for surfing the web (can do on PS3) and Photoshop (can use on PS3 with linux and Wine)

It seems fairly unlikely that returns would be a real reason for any major retailer. More sales and profits for those shops that do sell them. And although the recommended retail price of games has increased that might be mitigated by savings elsewhere. Of course smart people who are a little patient and not afraid to import will now go the cheaper route.

I don't scratch my CDs. I'm happy with 5.1 digital through proper speakers. Unlikely that a large TV would be practical as a PC screen.

Bit of a questionbut who buys games from these places anyway?

The only reason i found out is that I was looking for a play and charge kit and all teh other shops in the area were out of stock.

Yep, all the shops that are part of the toys r us and reggies group of stores have stopped selling these for some time now.

They are just clearing out all their old stock that they might have left.

But on the whole they have stopped.

2) Yeah the 1k price is a rip off but I can at least rent the games I want for R99 a month .... or trade .... or buy pre-played
