Are you using the Nova Launcher? AFAIK you'll need that as well as Teslaunread plugin..

Rom - Wanamlite V2.0
Launcher - Nova Prime Launcher
Android Version - 4.2.2
Icon Pack - DCikonZ
iFont - Segoe UI

All the status bar mods are baked into the Wanamlite rom...

Thanks a lot. It sucks that I have Apex Pro already, which is basically the same as Nova, except for the cool notification thing.

The notification app is called Missed it! Only been using it for the last 4 hours but already loving it massively!! It appears not to play nice with Buzz launcher, preferring Nova but why wouldn't it work with Apex launcher?

Does Apex Pro not use the Teslaunread plugins?

Yeah I saw that you guys have been raving about it. I don't think Apex uses that. I've tried Nova Free before and saw that it allows external notification apps. Apex has it's own notification app.

Heh thanks! I just have no unread counts because everything is read.

The Apex Notifier works for Gmail, Phone and SMS. I would love a Hangouts and WhatsApp badge though :)
 
I've read the Play Store description, Apex is not supported. So it is basically a widget? It does not give you the badges on the icons?

I love it!! I'm totally besotted with it at the moment! I know, it's ridiculous right? but when something serves such a fundamental function and does it with such aplomb it's difficult not to love it!! Remember, I'm coming from iOS so I've been weaned on notification badges!!

Just about every element of the widget is customizable, from fonts, to size, to colour, to headings. Hell, you can even rotate it if you want it facing sideways!!

I guess the only fault with it is it isn't compatible with different launchers! That's quite a biggie! But it's just the notification badges that don't work. You can still use the widget and get your unread or missed call details...

Glad you are enjoying it. My wife has a iPhone, and the notifications on there are great. But that is not a good enough reason for me to switch.

Mmm, that means I could maybe combine the widgets with my existing Apex Notifier. Use Apex for Gmail, SMS and Phone and the Missed It for Hangouts and Whatsapp.

That's an option. Or you could just go Nova... Depends on how much of a priority you put on notification badges!

Yeah but then I have to buy Nova too.

I would like WhatsApp and Hangouts though, will report back.
