Geez dude. Why are you using the godawful and resource hungry Twitter and Facebook apps? Get Fenix for Twitter and Swipe Pro for Facebook. Gmail sucks too; I recommend BlueMail. Also consider the Brave Browser - it's 100% identical to Chrome but blocks ads.

Facebook I understand. But Twitter? Fanie... am disappoint.

Thanks, I'll check them all out.

I can't work gmail without inbox

I only use my Gmail account on my phone to check for specific new emails. The web interface is by far the best way to use Gmail, and it's the best email experience I've encountered thus far. You can set tabs to filter emails into categories, create as many rules as you want for further filtering into folders or automatic deleting and you can read emails as easily as in Outlook by going into the lab settings and enabled the preview pane. Why it's not the default view or at least a default button in the main interface is beyond me. Changing the default font to Verdana and the text colour to the second darkest blue makes your emails look more professional too - basically very similar to Outlook.

Fenix is 40 odd bucks? Worth it?

Just installed Bluemail, VERY nice!! Super smooth scrolling and interface. I like!!

Chrome is the berries!! You sure about this Brave Browser?

Fenix is definitely worth it. You can get a refund if you don't like it anyway if you move quick.

Brave isn't sort of like Chrome - it's 100% identical to Chrome. Minus the ads.

If you like to hide the avatars next to each email header, BlueMail provides the option in settings. I really like that feature.

Is the Swipe pro version worth the R40 premium over free?

EDIT: I see now, it's a plethora of custom themes with the pro version... Nice!!

EDIT: Can't believe how buttery smooth it is compared to the choppiness of the native app! Wow!! This is iOS smooth!

Sorry, was distracted earlier and forgot to reply on Tapatalk. I bought the pro version for the notifications customisation, and I think being able to filter out ads might have been a pro feature too. I also just like to support good software development, and it's a really well made app. Being able to check Facebook messages is great too.

I installed Swipe. 2 minutes later I uninstalled it. Don't know what the fuzz is about.

Which means you didn't have enough time to even configure it to your tastes. The app has a lot of settings to get through. But oh well - your loss really. And you were talking about the pro version right?

There's no reason not to use Swipe Pro over the default app:
- way, way less resource hungry
- hide ads and recommendations
- choose how posts are displayed
- access FB messages
- customise notifications
- loads of theme options
- hugely committed dev with regular updates

I mean really, what more can one expect? Being free of the insanely bloated FB app is enough reason alone to switch to Swipe Pro. FB is so bloated it takes a min or two to install updates to it.
