Which is the easiest way to get Sickbeard and SABnzb "talking" to each other? I have set up both on my PC and SABnzb has downloaded the series I want.

How do I get Sickbeard to locate the episodes downloaded and to show what has downloaded and what is still outstanding? Can you do this without using scripts as I tried that and it doesnt seem to work..........

Sickbeard says that it has found 2/140 episodes but I can see that SABnzb has downloaded much more than 2 episodes.

Do they have the same name and are they in the same location? (never used these)

Well there are a few things to note here.

1. They can talk to each other without the use of scripts.
2. You have to choose whether you use rss feeds with SABnzbd to pickup new shows, or instead use Sickbeard to search nzb search engines and queue the .nzb files into SABnzbd.
3. You want to turn of TV Sorting in SABnzbd, and let Sickbeard handle that, just make sure the files end up in the folder "Downloads\complete\TV".
4. Postprocessing in SABnzbd should be kept on, let it fix files by automatically grabbing par files, extract it ect.
5. Sickbeard will then pick up the files in folder mentioned in point 3, rename it to the proper name, and move it to where you told Sickbeard that specific show has to be saved to, eg. d:\Series\Show_name\Season_01
6. After this, if you have XBMC, Sickbeard can also enter the new data into XBMC, download some extra info like show and episode description and rating if available, as well as add some pretty pictures for XBMC's index.

Thats how my setup mostly works, SABNzbd is configured for 2 news servers, and to put episdes into Downloads\complete\TV. Everything else is handled by Sickbeard, which NZBs to grab, adding stuff to SABnzbd, and then moving renaming and entering data into XBMC, all without a single script.

Now, to make this all much easier, here is a guide that you can follow (this one is closest to the one I used a year ago):

I use the scripts and it works well.

It seems like you downloaded those episodes manually and not via sickbeard. In that case run sabtosickbeard.exe manually and point to your downloaded files. It should process them provided your sickbeard is setup well

Next make sickbeard trigger sab to download the episodes (dont download manually) and make sure you have the category setup in sab.

Not sure what step youre at so can give more detailed steps if necessary.

Even if you download stuff manually, sickbeard can still pick it up, as long as you tell it where SABnzbd will put the files.
