sickbeard with free.xsusenet.com?

Ok, so i'm very new to the NZB/usenet scene and I've managed to get sickbeard and a free xsusenet account...
Thing is, I'm having trouble finding where in sickbeard to add my free.xsusnet.com user credentials...
I've gone to the Search Providers section and added xsusenet as a provider, but there's no room for user credentials...
What am i doing wrong?

Without the user credentials, sickbeard complains...
"Authentication error: Your authentication credentials for XSUSENET are missing, check your config."

xsusenet is a news server, not an NZB provider. xsusenet details need to be entered into SABNZBD and not sickbeard.

Aha! So downloads happen from xsusenet, but nzb's need to be found elsewhere... got it.
So is there any decent known free nzb provider?

binsearch and nzbindex are free but don't work with sickbeard, try local sites newztown and nzbsa.

I use nzb.su (registrations closed), nzbsa.co.za(you will need to get an invite). I must also add, that I have sickbeards own provider as the primary and most of the snatches happen from there, so if you dont get access to another provider, i believe that sickbeards one will suffice.

But I guess the SickBeard provider will also be limited on backlog searches... With my new Afrihost ADSL account, there's alot of catching up I can do!!
But I guess it's down to manual searches for those... not too bad if I can get links with full seasons

Start by using Sick Beard's built in options like Womble's index and Sick Beard's to make sure it works first.

Then you can add some others as you go along.

Thanks to everyone for all the replies and help.
Great news is that I am up and running... still with the free xsusent account (which actually gives unlimited data) to see how far I can make it stretch before needing to buy usenetbucket, as suggested.
Next steps:
- Get a WiFi dongle for my home PC (my all-day downloader) so I can move it next to the TV
- get XBMC, and integrate to SABnzbd and hook it up to my TV
- consider Afrihost uncapped, which is the same price as my 50GB capped bundled account, but it will be shaped... need to do some digging to understand what I'm gaining vs. what I'm losing
- once Telkom upgrades my line to 2Mbps, get paid usenetbucket or some other paid usenet service
- figure out where I'm gonna find the time to watch all of the stuff I download!!

I just thought I'd give feedback to anyone interested...
I've been running for a couple of months now with the following setup:
ADSL: Afrihost bundled 1Mbps ADSL + 50GB capped account
Newsreader: SABNZBd
News host: 1. Afrihost ; 2. free xsusenet
Search provider: NZB-SA, Womble, sickbeard
Media player: XBMC, with Yatse (Android app) remote on my phone

My experience:
So far it's been great. I managed to get a WiFi card so the PC sits next to the tv.
- SABNZBd is easy to setup.
- Since my ADSL is only a 1Mbps line, the free xsusenet account works fine (it's throttled at 1Mbps speed, but offers uncapped downloads). And i dont even know how often it even uses the xsusenet account with the Afrihost newshost also configured.
- I do have the occasional missed episode cos of the free providers, but then I just use torrents for those (Tixati is a completely free bittorrent client).

So for anyone looking to try this whole thing out without having to pay for it (other than the ADSL of course), the setup mentioned is 100% viable, as long as you're willing to do the occasional manual search for a missing episode (or one with missing pieces) and download it.

You can go to config -> servers to see how much you're downloading from who.
