What about for instance the Ethiopian Jews that were evacuated a few years ago?

Not to mention the mass expulsions from surrounding arab countries. Or the kind of **** good ol' Rob Mugabe sprouts about "Jewish businessman" just over our northern border. Or the firebombing of synagogues in France, the bomb threats in Cape Town, the neo-nazi rallies in the Czech Republic...

People don't have to be killed on masse before you can agree they need somewhere to turn. And before someone jumps on that and says "What about the Palestinians?" The answer is simple: Israel has offered them their own state more then once. Israel obviously will not give up Jeruslaem and that is where the process falls apart. That, and the little fact that Palestinian leaders such as the late Yasser Arafat have educated their people towards war, hatred and annihilation of Israel for so long that there people actually will not accept anything less.

Sort of along the lines of a Bantustan. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Bophutatswana, Transkei, Venda. Whoopeeee! They REALLY want one of those!!!

The truth is that Israel is occupying THEIR land, and they want it back. VERY similar to this country under Nat rule. And the only ultimate answer ( in the fullness of time I know ) is for them to get their land back, or at least to share in a unified state.

According to who? The land was promised to the Jews by the all mighty god. Thanks for playing. Either they can accept it or stay at war for the rest of their lives. You dont get it, Hitler and many others tried for thousands of years to wipe out the Jews and it just made them stronger and now they even have their very own successful country. :)

I am agnostic.
The land was promised to the Jews by the all mighty god.

But you are not quite sure of the latter because you are not quite sure about this "god" thing, not so? Methinks you are a believer who is afraid to admit it in public - backslider!!!!! LOL!

I am sure the "all mighty" Spaghetti Monster promised it to the Palestinians! :p

A common error - I will forgive you.
It was promised to the Pastastinians.
:D

Yea, and it shall come to pass, at the seventh hour of the seventh day, that the ravioli will rise up, the macaroni will march, the gnocchi will go and smite the heathen from the Sea to the Jordan, and the faithful will build a land of beer and pizza, and His Noodliness will be well pleased.

from the Book Of Penne Chapter 2.

So you think Israel should give up their whole country?

forgive me if i sound ignorant, but someone please explain why it's so important for the arabs to wipe out Israel? I don't get it?

Arabs do not want Jews to exist Full Stop. Look at Iran's statements. They do not want them there or anywhere else for that matter. Regardless of what they may say in the press. The know that Israel is the last line of defense for the Jews.
From Ha Aretz news:"While 54 percent said they supported the establishment of a Palestinian state, only 38 percent said Israel and the Arabs could solve the conflict peacefully. Another 56 percent said they believed the conflict could not be resolved.

According to the survey, a slim majority of American Jews do not believe that the United States should act militarily to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Fifty-four percent opposed such action and 38 percent supported it. However, 57 percent said Israel would be justified in taking military action against Iran, while 35 percent were opposed
to Israel's taking such action."

"Last June, Palestinian television broadcast a sermon in a Gaza mosque in which the imam, Ibrahim Madi, made the following statement: "God willing, this unjust state Israel will be erased; this unjust state the United States will be erased; this unjust state Britain will be erased."

The sheikh's gentle homily comes again to mind as Palestinians' efforts to build their arsenal and persistent attacks on Israeli civilians have again been exposed of late. The most recent assault was at a ballroom last night, when a Palestinian used hand grenades to kill five and wound more than thirty Israelis, a much smaller number than would have been the case had the explosives on the terrorist's body gone off as intended."

The Palestinians never existed until recently. Most came from Egypt and Jordan.
There were the Phillistines whom the Israelis kept 'smiting' so I doubt whether they could make a claim even if they did exist.
