Agreed, wonderful when it works but too many issues some of which are absolute showstoppers like the sound synch issue. Love the potential of this device and happy to see the responses from the manufacturers with upcoming fixes promised, but I’ve returned my product to Takealot and will wait for when these issues are fixed to consider buying again.

We are sorry to lose you. However for other people who encounter this, a factory reset might help until the new software comes out.
 
For anyone with the AV sync issue, if it is consistently reproducible, please provide us a link to a video that triggers this.
 
Hi guys. I just had mine delivered today after being restocked by Takealot.

Casting seems to have some issues. I’ll try to cast from Netflix or other apps and for Netflix at least it starts up with The logo and 3 dots under but after a few seconds my phone says that it can’t connect to the android tv

Also I noticed with the bundle Youtube app (without any updates) when you're in a video and back out (by pressing back once) it tries to display a kind of picture in picture mode with the video still playing in the background but it fails miserably are I'm just left with a garbled mess:

Hi

Please try updating your youtube app to the latest version again. Google indicate this issue should be resolved, and our engineers confirm it.

There is a known issue with casting on the release build that affects a small number of customers. It is resolved in our August software release. Apologies for the inconvenience.
 
Any news on the August update? Is this available yet? and if so how do we go about updating the box?

I go to software updates but the box says it is up to date?

Please advise

The update is not available just yet, as it is still in the Google certification process.

Sorry about the delay. We are still working to push it through.
 
Hi all.

How do I check if there is a new update for the box, and most importantly, how do I actually update it?
 
Side loading not working it's not letting me change unkown apps settings

That's weird. ES normally takes you to the correct settings page. It might be a change in ES File explorer. Glad you got it sorted!
 
Guys. This box is great. Had a usb issue. Usb was dead out of the box. Factory reset fix it. Mailed support and they responded within 2 hours. With support like this I can live!
Q: anyone have a netflix apk version number that works? I have Amazon prime, mobdro, terrarium working... Netflix is beating me...
