SLOW ADSL Today??

Most likely totally unrelated but about 4 hours ago my phone died and my 10mb line is running at 1mb... Reported... Shared...

10mb line:
IS 15gig account is getting 0.1mb down and the same up.
Telkom 9gig account is only doing 1.6mb down and 0.8mb up.

Slower than usual for both. Telkom account is generally a bit quicker the the IS one, but today even Telkom is dying, which is a bit mind-blowing.

Any latency people? Im getting a consistent 120ms to my next hop after GW whereas I usually get 40ms

I am with Axxess and still having very slow download speed.

I'm still experiencing really slow speeds both locally and internationally. My local routing is on IS and my international is on Telkom, but I can't get more than 3Mbit download speeds locally (4Mbit line), and half that internationally. The pings are 300+ locally and 700+ internationally.

Hey Grimster, Monkey me too. Ive got an extra 100ms added to my ping for some reason. I usually ping next hop after my gw in about 35-40ms and now Im getting 125ms.
Im in CPT via IS...Im suspecting congested back haul? Any other ideas? Im getting some minor packet loss too.

Again my IS based Afrihost and Imaginet accounts are returning a minimum of 150 ...... 3rd day running now, wtf is going on. Can anyone investigate this or is it the usual "leave them in the dark" BS.

Guess we'll just have to be patient for it to get fixed
