What do you like to make in it?
Trying to decide if I need one or not.![]()
gawd damnit grantza already posted what I wanted to post
Why would you want to buy a slow cooker? Seems like a waste of money to me.
Just slow down. I usually take my time when I cook. And the money I saved of not buying a slow cooker, I just use on wine I buy for my inbetween breaks during cooking.
Dinner once took 3 hours. Now that's slow cooking![]()
Still worth it or not? Thinking of buying one today.
Thanks will look for that one, our Checkers only has the small Russell HobbsI use ours all the time. I saw this one at checkers the other day and I’m seriously considering buying one. Not only does it do your traditional slow cooker meals but, as far as I can tell, it doubles as a sous-vide.

That would be niceIf anyone here has some nice slow cooker recipes maybe we can share?
Thanks, good to know, was thinking of getting the KenwoodWhatever you can make on the stove you can make in the slowcooker.
You need to use less water.
If you want fried onions and such I normally do that on the stove. Dump everything with some water into the slowcooker. Set to high if you want it going quicker, and turn it down to auto once boiling. If no time to watch it then turn it to auto at the start it will auto adjust between high/low to keep the cooking process going.
I've had a kenwood for about 7 years now. Its still going strong.
