Hey, im getting terrible speeds today and some sites timing out on both mweb and openweb accounts....just wondering if its on my end or if there is some bigger problem? Seacom seems to be up...could that be the problem? No one knows what to do during its monthly upday?

was having the same problems this morning. According to MWEB, it's a Telkom problem and had them reset my line twice.

Seems to be ok for now but who knows for how long.

Yesterday and today, with Afrihost and Mweb. Seems just my Imaginet is so so stable. I keep 'stalling' like every 10 minutes ..... drop from TeamSpeak, drop from Xfire, sites time out, etc etc.

Ok it's really bad now ......... 'dropping' / 'pausing' every frikkin 3-5 minutes now

Yes, no world of warcraft for me, tonight, it seems :(
If this continues i'll be in real danger of having to have a real life chat with someone.

Same issue here WoW has constant dc's and high latency. I'm with MWeb btw in JHB, I recon all ISP's should just abandon the Seacom(seems to have HUGE issues) and rather use the Eassy or the new WACS as soon as the are available cos clearly the Seacom was a waste of funds :S

Is there a SEACOM outage at present which is the reason for your connection problems?

Slowness on MWEB and AxxessLite for me tonight, getting WoW disconnects in 25 man raids.

Well I would have to say it seems to be an issue with Seacom as that is the 1 thing all these ISP's have in common, I am currently using my FNB Connect account with no issues.

Slow on Openweb 4mb gold as well. Youtube is downloading only at 0.3mbps. Its a 4mb account... running at 384k speed atm.

You sure, from what I can see, FNB-Connect makes use of IS.
