I can can only put forward a solution to consider using Tuya Smart Home platform, you basically only need 2pcs of 1 Gang smart switches unless you have other lights not shown on your diagram. In this case you can go 2, 3 or even 4 gang as required.

Both switches are 2 gang so I will run 2 x shelly 2.5s on either side and this should solve my problem

Is there anything like a smart light switch that can also perform dimming functionality, specifically 2 gang?

I've seen smart switches but have not seen smart dimmer switches above 1 gang.
 
Modules (also called Mini Smart Switches) are available in 1, 2 & 3 gang. These are very low profile and are fitted to the back of your existing switches to make them smart. Often purchased by customers who would like to upgrade to smart WIFI but would also like to keep their existing switches.

Great option. Pity not SA certified like Nology imported Shellys.
 
Hi, I would like to start adding smart switches to my house, and I would also like 1 of them to be the sonoff smart panel. I currently have battery operated bulbs for load shedding, controlled via the normal switch, was wondering how the sonoff panel or any other panels will handle it? In other words, will I still be able to use those lights during load shedding?

Can tasmotize it. Then control via HA locally.

But my knowledge limited. Sure one of the many who have done this will assist.

A bit more info on your load shedding situation would help. Eg:
Do you have something that provides power when Escom power is off?
If yes, what does this keep alive?
Do you have a device (PC, Raspberry Pi, etc) that can be used as a smart hub / controller, or do you plan to only use cloud-based solutions?

Note that each mechanical light switch that you want to control via the Sonoff panel would need one of the following to be done:
- replace the switch with a smart switch (touch or mechanical)
Or
- add a smart switch to the existing mechanical switch (eg: Sonoff mini)

Note that all the smart switches and the Sonoff panel would need to be powered up during loadshedding, including smart switches on the battery-operated lights.

Is your internet and WiFi on during loadshedding?
If both are on, then you can use the Panel and the eWeLink app to control the smart switches.
If only the WiFi is on, without internet access, then only smart devices that are "LAN enabled" will work
If there is no WiFi, then only physical switching can be done manually at the switch.

Just the guy I want to see. Are your products SABS approved (not that it matters but when the time comes to issue a coc or claim for a fire I would very much like to have at least that base covered)
 
Shelly app still slowest to open BUT its quite powerful.

And the devices are very stable.

Best to opt for Shellys (certified if via Nology) if you not using certified Tuya/Smartlife light switches (Qualitel light switches are locally SA certified)

Saw a similar complaint online but no indication cause or solution. Person had a Huawei P40. My phone a S22 Ultra.

So phones not issue.

Update
Cleared app cache and now seems fine. Shelly app opens fast enough. Strange as I had tried uninstalling app. Guess cache had remained.

Also when it updates, it seems to add files to the current app rather than download a new version.

And they add updates often
 
Shelly and HA made in heaven for each other.

Future is Shellys only for me.

App is now faster with minimal lag after clearing cache of app.

If you have wifi and power via batteries or inverter pv panels or generator etc. Otherwise no power to light then it wont work
 
Anyone know if these Vizia switches can be flashed with Tasmota?

I went ahead and took a gamble on these:

Opened it up and unfortunately it's not ESP82xx so can't be flashed with Tasmota.

It's got the Beken BK7231 chip:

If this software supports MQTT maybe I'll continue to use it - otherwise it's a fail for me.
