Marijuana users had lower test scores relative to non-users, and showed a significant decline in crystallized intelligence between preadolescence and late adolescence.

However, there was no evidence of a dose-response relationship between frequency of use and IQ change.

These two points seem to indicate that it does affect an aspect of intelligence, just that there's no relationship between dose/frequency and IQ change. So a user might see a 5 IQ point difference to a non user, but there's no relationship between that 5 point difference and how much they smoked.

Crystallized intelligence is the ability to use skills, knowledge, and experience. It does not equate to memory, but it does rely on accessing information from long-term memory.

I can't perform well on weed, but I know quite a few people who smoke weed and are top performers in work and studies. It's all related to a person's personality, so these studies do not reflect the real world.

I would much prefer to have a stoner as a friend than a drunk who kills people on the road and gets aggressive with their families while hardly being able to stand and puking everywhere, been there seen that with friends, disgusting.
