I've had the 10GB for R199 deal from 8ta for over a year now. Just got an sms from 8ta saying that I will be billed R503.12 on 28/02/2013. I've never had a billing sms from them before and this amount is all wrong. It should be R199. I did not go OOB last month. I reached the 10GB limit on 26/01/2013 and did not use the sim again till February. I also did not click any option to go OOB on the 8ta website. This is irrelevant though since the sim was not used again till February.
I did try to sign up for the additional night surfer mid last month but assumed it did not go through after I did not see any indication of night surfer in my balance using *188#, and also after noting that the guy who was loading my night surfer had "issues". I called the billing department just now and they say that I did sign up for night surfer last month and that I also have a zero balance for night surfer this month. However, the call was cut whilst I was on hold because I ran out of airtime. How is it possible that I used an extra 10GB this month at night whilst disconnected? My daytime balance for February is still 1GB.
What is the extra R304 for? Also how do I check my night surfer balance because *188# just shows my daytime balance.
I'm wasting my airtime calling the call centre. Just spent about R10 without getting any information on what data was used and what exactly I am being billed for. For some reason I can't make calls with my 8ta data sim so I have no choice but to use my CellC sim to call the 8ta call centre.
