Hi @AfriNatic and @AfriGuy

I am trying to use my @afrihost.co.za email via IMAP and SMTP. Receiving mail via IMAP is no problem. Sending mail via smtp.afrihost.co.za seems to be impossible though. I have try a number of permutations of port number, with ssl, without ssl.
Keep get a "service not available" error or variations of the same.

Please help!

Below are the settings that works perfectly with DSL Mail.

POP3/IMAP incoming server : mail.afrihost.co.za port 993 Non SSL
Outgoing mail server : smtp.afrihost.co.za port 25 Non SSL
Username : Your @afrihost.co.za email NOT the Alias
Password: Your password.

Please enable authentication for outgoing mail especially if you use it on your phone so it can send mails from other networks.

You are using 993 for non ssl instead of 143?

You are using 993 for non ssl instead of 143?

It can be used for both SSL and Non SSL. Port 143 also works but only on Non SSL.
