People are really naive to think those sms's come free and not from bank charges and less interest. Sure for some big spenders ebucks are great. But it's not free. It's paid for by the other sods that could have a better deal at Capitec.
Can also turn it off for money out (great for people running a business and needing confirmation of deposits) and select different amounts for each. Then there's off course the option to turn it off. Wish they had the option of email though for which Vodacom would sms me for free.Decently, you can turn off MONEY IN sms notifications, which I have done, and only receive MONEY OUT sms's for safety.
Their SMS system is chargeable but unreliable.Yip. Capitec offers the best EARN interest rate for a transmission account compared to all other competitors. They also only charge one R5 monthly fee for all 5 accounts (main transmission and 4x savings accounts). I feel it only fair that they charge per sms in order to earn some of their interest back. What phone do you use?Never found that to be the case.

Their system has been a problem for iPhone users since last year. Poor testing procedures underlying the problem.Does it matter? It's an SMS. I use a Nokia.

Shhh, Capitec fanboys enjoy a good circle jerk. You're not allowed to say anything bad. They're even happy to pay for sms notifications. Teh big 4 is the devil for offering such a service for free...
Maybe so if you are using a phone to send it. Their bulk SMS system doesn't like iPhones and neither does their internet banking.A SMS doesn't care what phone you use, it can be a Nokia 3310. I fail to see how having an iPhone can be to blame.
Now if you are talking about the phone app/code generator, that's another story, but it doesn't use SMS to work. I prefer the physical dongle anyway.
Do any of them have old iPhones?Would make sense if I didn't know 3 people with iPhones and Capitec as their bank .......... Probably PEBCAC![]()

That dongle is chargeable too.

My dongle was free when I opened my account. When it was stolen I went in for a replacement. That same day my keys were found with the dongle so I called to ask if I can bring in the new dongle the same day and continue using the old. They said I can keep the new at no charge.
