Best advice in the thread.... Bite the bullet and get it done already.
Then get an IT related degree.
Then look at doing all the self-teach / cert type training

I also agree. Remember that you will likely be working another 30-40 years (expect retirement to be pushed to the late 70's by 2045), so don't worry about starting "late". Also your existing experience will help you catch up faster.
