Hi Everyone,

I am involved with Software Development Process Implementation, not business process management (BPM).

Most (actually all) of the companies I have assisted with in process implementation in SA have their processes either sitting in documents or less than half of those processes are automated.

I have done a lot researching on the internet and with clients to find out if there is a tool available in SA that can fully automate the entire software development life cycle model? This SLDC should include
* Project Management + PM activities
* Requirements Definition + RD activities
* Technical Solutions + TS activities
* Product Integration + PI activities
* Quality Assurance + QA activities

But no-one seems to know of a Software Development Process tool/product?

I just wrote two exams last week that covered the whole system analysis & design process so kinda understand what your looking at.

System Analysis & Design tools are built on coding styles. We are an Agile development company and found JIRA to be the best. Its an online portal that handles everything for use (including svn repo).

Basecamp is another popular web service.

There's a Software Development Process??

Analyst to Programmer: "You start coding while I go see what they want us to write."

@ cbrunsdonza: I had a look at JIRA and I found that Rational TC covers a whole lot more than JIRA, but thank you for mentioning that tool.

@ rwenzori: LOL... There are methodologies available for the IT sector and they work very well as they are aimed at Software Development.
