Software for UPS

Hi there and thank you for your help.

I have a APC 1000 UPS. It works nice and I don't have problems. I need software that can monitor the UPS/mains and also shuts off my computer when there is a power failure.

Can you please recommend something?

Agreed, just download the files from the APC website. This is unless you are using Linux, in which case use apcupsd instead.

Some of the APC UPSs do not support monitoring from your PC, so it may be a good idea to check this first.

I use Shutter Lite to monitor my APC UPS, the APC software don't have the option to execute a script when the power fails. Shutter allows me to now shut down all my networked computers when the battery power on the APC drops to a certain level.
