End of the day unfortunately his tests have too many variables to be considered accurate but I'll hand it to your buddy at least he tried and published results - better then the manufacturers

btw - lol I went to check base temp of water to be independent :) checked my Gas geyser this time (Yes I have one too :) )

That is a normal gas geyser , not circulating hot water in the tank ?
Minimums last night were fairly low.
That unit is probably in the shade , hasnt been on in a long time and and still warming up from the low minimums we have had this week.
That is not the temp of incoming water. It is the outgoing water which has cooled down since you used it prev evening
Temp underground does not fluctuate as much as above ground as soil does insulate to some degree so the temp variation between high and low is much smaller

So just one thing on this. It may be minor and outweigh other considerations

An inverter has in internal usage of 50W to 100W depending on the make and model you get. Some of the cheap inverters can be higher. The kodak (axpert clone) abortions I started off with were.
Over a 14 hour period per inverter that equates to 700W to 1.4KW per inverter

In a case where you have no grid power outside solar hours you will need to cater for 1.4 to 2.8KW of power usage just for your inverters to run in those 14 hours per day.
Just something to keep in mind making a choice between a 1 or 2 inverter setup. The graph below is from my 8Kw system and you can see in the nightime hours where solar is not in use and grid is not being used the stable difference between house load and battery output

I am still waiting for your independant lab results showing that a PTC = A generic heater coil. Considering that there are a few manufacturers claiming the opposite I would have expected SOMEONE to do the tests showing they are lieing. Not exactly a new technology
Untill you do I can realisitically consider you a "believe me bro" based on your rules for such things

And as I've said before, there aren't any independent snake oil tests because no lab is going to waste their own money on disproving snake oil. You don't think it's weird that no other manufacturer of PTC elements, local or international, markets these amazing energy savings on their products? Why can only Xtend defy the laws of physics?

Those figures you are spouting are for INVERTERS , ie plural , and based on the discussion I referenced , 2 in parallel and as I said based on a 14 hour period

For someone as well versed in DIY installs this should be an easy calculation for yourself

Where you are losing effectively 10% at peak efficiency in battery mode, and even then most cheap inverters are not truly blending power either.

And you even used the word "power". The point is you're wanting to give solar/electrical advice and don't even get the difference between the fundamental concepts of power and energy.

Why not show your figures based on your actual measurements

More like believe a hundred years of scientific discovery. I'm still curious why you'd think some obscure SA company has come up with some new technology that fundamentally changes our understanding of physics and has still managed to keep it largely a secret to the rest of the world. It's about as believable as a guy from Polokwane using his Lenovo laptop to conquer global forex and crypto trading.

I tell you what. If you can convince the Xtend guys to lend me one of their elements I'll gladly run some tests on their behalf. And, if the results are anywhere close to the 30% they advertise, I'll personally buy two from them and become their biggest advocate.

Ask them yourself. I am not an agent nor representative of theirs nor am I involved in plumbing sale. Nor do I have any use for either technology

The burden of proof lies with those making the claim that their resistive heater is somehow more than 100% efficient even though that would break the laws of physics.

No they didn't. They published a bunch of numbers without any source, link or anything else to show where they came from or who did the tests, while claiming them to be "independent".

A true independent test would be published on a different website by the people who actually did the testing and it would be someone with the expertise and a track-record of doing such tests.
