Some SLI questions...

I support Arsenal you suckers :p:p:p no chirps here please :D

Anyway hj2k x, listen here....I am seriously happy with my 8800gts. I hear it even beats some cards valued at close to 5 grand.

If you read the NAG and PCformat reviews on the 8800gts the guys are seriously stoked about the price vs performance comaprison, and it is a real good performer mind you.

There is nothing out today that I reckon I can't play. Plus Im ready for DX10, what an investment!! see what I mean.

So save the bucks and go 8800gts, or gtx if you really have the cash.

'scuse my spelling but me sis was having a house partuy and im slightly out of it

Haha jon boy already has that invisible wedding ring, so its a no-go for him ;)

Anyone know where to find some Vista(32-bit) drivers for the 8500GT? The ones I have are sh1te...

Found some :)

Yeah, I bought one, for 1200 bucks :( But the onboard was killing me...

It has upped my windows experience score from a 3.0 to a 4.8 :D

Now, to save up for a real card...:p:(

Yay now you can play multiple instances of Solitaire 2.0 :D

hmmm... you know whats really stupid... the fact that the 8600gts has monster ram, but they don't use a bigger bus, it's said that even a 256 bit bus would cause a bottle neck, but no... Nvidia wants to make crap mid-range cards. but still it does manage to pump out 32gb/s on a 128, so if they had a 256bit it would be double or more, utter retards

It really does seem that the 8800s are the only way to go to get actual value for your money, even if they do cost an arm and a leg >

and your kids, wife and dog, but ya... i think nvidia was just enjoying the fact that there 8800xxx series was doing so well that they could throw any thing at us and we would lap it up. the mid-range and budget cards seem unfinished under developed and just sloppy, even the drivers were sloppy. and they say that the ati mid-range are better then the nvidia's,

Quite. The drivers are poor indeed. The CD that came with my 8500 had XP drivers, which did not work on Vista. Had to dl the real drivers.
