Saw this on my bill:

Unused MB from Last Month 1104.61
New MB Added this Month 924.00
Usage on this Bill 1218.26
MB Carried Forward to Next Month 810.36

That implies that they carry over unused data for more than a month, on the S4 1GB straight-up 100.

Awesome! I thought I went OOB...

They do. But you still use your new data first and only use the carried over data when the new stuff has expired. That way your data expires sooner and they score.

No here is the example from the my account section of CellC usage:
Smart Data MB 924.00 0.00 0.00 924.00
Smart Data MB 0.00 453.14 230.43 222.22

I carried over 453 MB last month and as you can see it is being used first before my new data. Yes the inclusive data 100 MB and Boost data 100 MB from Vitality get used first but the bulk smart data get carried over.

Only Vodacom does it this way AFAIK.

This is nice on Cell-C; voice minutes, sms bundles and data bundles all carry over for 3 months.
I have this on straight up 100 top up.

No they don't use your new data first, it all just goes into a bucket that has the capacity of three times your monthly allocation.
i.e. On a straight up 100 the most you can have carried over is 300 minutes, 300 MB and 300 SMS.

Yeah they do carry it over for 3 months.... not bad. I know MTN also carries it over for 2 months

Is there data carry over for the Giga Nite 20GB data contract plan too?

That's cool then. I thought all networks did it that way.

Lol, it is nice indeed, but I'm sitting with 2Gb of data I can't really use because on h+ I don't get any throughput, and on edge it will take 20 years to use that much. :(
