Sonic The Hedgehog

Doubt we will get cool stuff like this in SA. One can only dream. Although I do recall seeing similar stuff done for Despicable Me and Chipmunks here in SA

Scary to think a bunch of people green lit the look of sonic in this movie in the first trailer.

Now the really scary thing is if this was the very first look of sonic it would have been fine and no body would bat an eye.

Come to think of it I was playing Sega since 1993/1994. My first Sonic game was a birthday present after I couldn't find it anywhere. So either my 25th or 26th anniversary is coming up.

Sadly, my first hands-on experience with a Sonic game was 3D Blast on the Saturn. Ja nee, Sonic isn't meant to played on an isometric view.

Then Heroes on PS2. Only played the original Megadrive games afterwards on those knockoff consoles afterwards.

Edit: Seems I misremembered playing Adventure 2 on PS2 but I know I did somewhere.

Silently added Sonic X to Netflix today:
750015

Caveats:
* No Japanese audio
* Censorship (its the notorious 4KIDS dub)

Update:
* Movie trailer was added to Nu-Metro cinemas in December
* Amazon won't ship Sonic merch to SA anymore (most of the items no longer ship to SA suddenly) - unconfirmed report that Ster Kinekor through its Gamefinity subsidiary has monopoly rights on Sonic. This impacted an order I had in place with Amazon, which is currently subject to back-and-forth because I refuse to cancel the order and Amazon assert the rightsholder tells them the item may not be shipped to SA.
* United States gets a preview of the merchanidise in two weeks' time

What if you try open one of those MyUS address things and get stuff sent there. Consolidate and then ship over?

We're doing that yes. Had a look at Aramex Global Shopper too.
Since my wife works in the shipping industry I simply elected now to let her clearing agents handle this... you pay the supplier, the agent picks it up and gets it here then duties/charges are settled and end of story.
Then Ster Kinekor/KOODOO/Prima Interactive can go get knotted. I didn't have a problem with them having the rights, the problem I have is they refuse to bring in some of the already available merch for example the Tails and Knuckles version of the Cable Guys device standees.

Maybe try go through a comic shop for those. I've seen standees at Smallville comics Maybe Joe the owner can bring in some sonic ones for you?

I've tried... the problem is they charge me a fortune, we went Amazon because we paid considerably cheaper (even though shipping killed us). I will try Smallville again.

Ster Kinekor would have rights on the movie merchandise. Not the already existing line licensed by Sega.
