Hi Myprod - I emailed the addresses above more than once and filled out the section on the website for them to contact me but I still haven't received any service. Definitely thinking about trying with someone else.

It really is luck of the draw when it comes to getting a decent wisp in Claremont / Kenilworth and I guess in general.

A bit of disappointment from my side.

Scheduled a site inspection for today. Received a call from Amanda this morning informing me that they would come around at 11am.
I confirmed on the phone, "Will they be at my place at 11am?", "Yes at or before 11am"
Take my lunch at 10:45am drive home to be there. Eventually 12pm comes and I had to go back to work. Still no phone call or anything from anyone. :(

So I have a little story...

Could not remote into my PC today from work so I thought maybe knocked the plug out or whatever.
So I get home and at around 4.30 and I have no internet.
I can connect but there is 100% packet loss so something isn't right.

Give Sonic Support a call, they see there is a problem with the AP I connect to and tell me they will phone me back with more info.
So 10 minutes later I get a call and they say there is an issue with the site and they cant connect to it either ( So now I am bummed as I wont have internet till tomorrow ) So he carries on and says the technicians are on their way they have just left to the site to sort it out.

All back up and running.
So once again I am bloody impressed.

I have a normal antenna that they supplied with their fitment of R 1999-00. I went and bought a cheap TP Link TL-WR1043ND.
I bought it from Uniterm Direct as I have an expensive Belkin router for the DSL line.

Anyways, single LAN cable coming into the house. That cable runs into a splitter, one plugs into the Router and the other provides the POE for the dish.
There is no username or password or anything. You plug the cable into the router and you are connected.
Like I said they supplied the antenna so I am not sure which make it is but I think it is Ubiquiti, not sure of the model.
 
Anyone play CS:GO on Sonic to JHB servers? Sometimes during nights I have issues with lag, yet monitoring the latency from a cmd ping command it seems quite stable (<30ms mostly).

Just wondering

Really impressed with the feedback I'm seeing here. Initially I had a bad experience with comms to and from sonic wireless and decided against a site survey. SWE, can I arrange a site survey via a pm or should I do it via email?
 
Shoulda knocked on wood lol. Please ignore the above. I thought there was an active rep on here, that could potentially escalate support calls when the standard channels ignore you for days. I was mistaken.
