Ubiquity
Not necessarily. Depends on the hi-site. They were talking about Canbeams even though I already have a Ubiquity dish.
Canbeams?
Canbeams?
Not sure, trying to get more info on it. Googling just brings up optic based solutions and I'm pretty sure when I saw them testing the dish there was no optics on it.
10.5km is quite far for connecting to a sector!
This is the Kit they want to install.... http://www.cambiumnetworks.com/products/
It is, but i've connected Rockets up to 30km before, with minimal LOS
We've got the cambium kit installed at our house. Had some problems at first (with static routes for Unotelly) but it has been sorted. We're on the 10mb package and the downlink is fairly stable, lately.
What is your signal strength like? They did a site survey and got -40dbi and want to go for the 20Mbps package.
With my current provider I'm sitting at -60dbi on a 8Mbps package.
Hello everyone,
I have been quite interested in Sonic Wireless, and it has been interesting to see over these 15 pages how happy, then unhappy and now cautiously satisfied some of you have been. I was an early adopter on Neotel Neoflex and that was quite a painful experience which has left me shy of alternative providers. However, being Table View there are not too many options (at least that I am aware of.)
Could I trouble you for a spot of advice? I am interested in the 20MB/s service, but in terms of typical international bandwidth available, is it worth going for that package over the 10?
Also a little troubling to see that streaming is not good. I would expect on 20MB/s you should be able to stream quite nicely.
Thanks a lot.
