You go to Tools, Control Panel, Connections, Mobile networks,
In that new windows, you click on Mobile Networks at the top, and click the GSM/3g networks drop down that appear.
Then select GSM only.
 
My wife just upgraded to M600 through vodacp. Yes branded. but the software looks superior to ours. she has the little red cross on top right of page to close applications. do you guys think the new firmware coming in the not too distant future for us will have the same?

Let's hope that a firmware release will be in the not so distant future... :confused:

As for my crystal case, it arrived two days ago. The Screen Protector however has not :(

Piesang, my best friend bought himself the HP 6915 and after two weeks of use, it's now somewhere in a bottom drawer.

He said it's a good PDA, but useless phone. Try to make a call from a i-Mate while you're driving (if you've got no karkit or headset).... oh, the digital cameras on the PDAs are absolutely useless - I've seen the photo quality of it and I think my old P910i's VGA pics looked better.

First of all, I don't use my phones camera at all. I have a decent 12MP Digital Camera.
I just need a decent phone with PDA functions.
 
P990 VLive branded

I had a call from Vodacom this morning re my P990

I can take it to a Vodashop and have it flashed to a Generic P990 (as you all have)
According to them I will still have access to VLive so I am looking forward to a happy life with my P990

What?? You're getting me all wrong here. I just want to know why so many of you guys have P990's. I mean, there must be a bloody good reason. And if I know what the reasons are I will definately get me one too.

I'm due for a upgrade since last week Friday and dont' know what to take. There are so many phones I can choose from. ;)

Like all men i love gadgets. This one has soooo many. My best is the business card scanner. But like anything the novelty will ware off and you will get bored of it. But all i can say is I love this phone, reasons why
1) It is far ahead of most Pda's
2) I think it is user friendly
3) It has all the bells and whistles MP3. Radio etc.
4) You can view word,excell and PDF files
5) Its damn sexy
every body loves my phone and wants one

Ha! That's an easy question - there is NO other phone on the market that has the same functionality & features as the P990i. That's it, plain & simple.

After aqualung, bruce & others on this thread convinced me to get one, I did - and all I can say, it's everything I wanted it to be...and more.

Go get one, Piesang, you won't regret it! :)
