Must say i picked mine up on monday, and although its got a Vodafone badge on the case and a vodacom start up screen, i cant find any changes to the menu.
 
@kingrob tx for the memory stick tips. Is that a 512M MS ?

PS have you tried the Wlan connectivity ?

PS @L-mo the screen brightness is the same on all phones regardless of branding, admittedly very faint in direct sunlight

Hi aqualung! If I was a dog, my tail would be wagging right now.... :)

Yes, it's a Sandisk 512MB Pro Duo Memory stick. I can take over 500 pictures with it (1600 X 1200, fine settings) and over 2 hours video recording... would love to have a 2GB, but will see how much it cost and where I can find it...

Glad the Sandisk is behaving itself. I know some of the guys on esato were having some issues with sandisk...

I bought a 2Gb Sandisk Memory Stick Duo for my P990 at Look and Listen in Clearwater Mall for R899.

cna in clearwater the other day were selling one gig genuine sony psp sticks (which are same as regular sony sticks) for R49 each ... i mean wtf????

major error on their part , so i played along and bought them all. :)

*Everybody loves a bargain! I saw Nescafe Gold Blend at Pick&Pay going for R49.99, where it normally sells for R69.99 - I bought three on the spot!!

Yes, I just couldn't resist that bargain! :)

I remember how glad I was when they started importing NesCafe Gold Blend to South Africa, absolutely love that stuff...kept me going on that cold winter mornings in the UK...

*Oh, NesCafe Classic tastes like Frisco if you had a cup of Gold Blend.... :eek:

hello ye people who own p990's, i have a coupla questions for y'all:
1) can u guys please list how much you paid for the phone? if u got it cash, i'd like the price, if u got it on discount on contract, id like the contract name + the price, and if it was free then the contrct name.
2) can u guys list websites of where to get free and/or paid software for the phone? along with software that u guys highly recommend.
3)have any of u used the a2dp profile on the phone (the ability to use bluetooth stereo headset to listen to music)? whats it like?
