Joey, I haven't used IM+ before, but I would think there is an option where the software asks you what internet account you want to use for connecting to the internet, but it might also just use your default internet account. Have you downloaded the MTN GPRS settings to your phone?

Also, check that you've got a 'default' account for connecting to the internet. Go to Settings > Control Panel > Connections > Internet Accounts and see if you find MTN GPRS there.

*I also think you need to add the account to 'Groups' for internet access.
 
i connect fine with Mig33 and GTalkMobile... also browsing the net, so it has to application-specific
 
Joey, try to send a private message to 'kvi', he is using IM+ and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Unfortunately I've never used IM+ before & if your internet accounts are working, might be something in IM+ settings that you need to change.
 
what i do notice is, IM+ and Agile Messenger doesn't ask me to to allow MIDlet Permission Request to the the internet....
 
JoeyP990i i just installed im+ and it connected first time ? Just installed it put msn details in and it connected, did nothing else, sorry mate so dont know why yours is not connecting

Me also on Vodacom, when i first got my phone had endless trouble with internet connections thats why i asked. What i did was the following.

1) Master Reset.
2) Delete all internet accounts, even after the master reset the vodacom internet account is still there.
3) Go to the sonyericcson site and get the settings sent to your phone.
4) Switch your phone off and then back on again.

The above worked for me and now everything seems to be working fine, don't know why but.
 
You aren't connected to msn on your pc while also trying to connect through your phone ?

im trying to using IM+ and Agile Messenger on my cellphone, anyways the ports are blocked on my workstation. Weird thing is, i can connect to MSN using Mig33.....

help...:(
 
Well i am all out of idea's. Sorry mate hopefully someone else will come along with a few other ideas:o
