That thought worries me as well. SE might just abandon the P990i & release a P995i, with faster CPU & much more RAM.

And they have done it before - remember the P900 & P910?

Well I think if that is the case... They had better make a plan to exchange ours or offer some sort of upgrade offer! We have after all been their beta testers on this product. Else I am sure they are going to have some extremely unhappy ppl :mad:
 
i would NEVER buy an imate slash nokia etc brand... for me its SE all the way...

EXCEPT

for an iphone.... oh man that thing looks sweet. they say they need a new catagorie for it, its beyond smart phone, they say the new catagorie should be called "brilliant phone" ")

oh and my ipod (i think its the fifth one now) HAS NEVER CRASHED OR LEAKED ITS MEMORY OVER THE FLOOR
 
WoW... My next phone will definitely be a iPhone as soon as it becomes available here in SA. I'm already saving up for my iMac notebook.
 
i have a couple apple quadcores.... those are some machines. (but still prefer my hp quadcore )

now back to the boring topic of leaking memory blah blah... rather dull hey?

I think it's safe to say that the iPhone will be the next big thing after the iPod.... ;)

Just wish they would fix the current 'big thing'. :(

I think the queen had it all planned from the start - a hostile takeover of the SE P990i thread with the iPhone 'bomb' that she dropped. :)

I would swap my P990i right now for an iPhone. ;)

Hey guys, the iphone does look like the most awsome phone ever made!!! Dont get me wrong, but it does not have 3g or hsdpa so wouldent we be going backwards from the p990 which has 3g or the n95 which has 3g and hsdpa??? also this is apples first phone, nokia and sony ericsson have been making phones for years now and they still have not created the PERFECT PONE? i dont know but in my mind it seems that the iphone may be too good to be true?:confused:
 
I'll wait to see how the iPhone performs first :) Advertised specs alone don't make a phone. It doesn't say how fast or slow (or leaky) the phone is.

Also, no 3G ... mmmm... by the end of the year phones should be supporting HSDPA, maybe even HSUPA. And I kinda like my P990's keyboard. I don't know if I can easily go without that and back to a touch-screen keyboard.

Oh, according my my calculations, there's only 5 posts after mine before this thread is on page 100 (1500-15-1479-1). Wonder how will be the one to post it?
