Sony pulls the plug on "The Interview"

I wonder what the OP would have been like if a show did get attacked and people killed?

Say what you want about Obama but he is not a bad president. Sure he comes across spineless especially if you are more interested in foreign relations (this is my way of saying war mongering in a PC way) and entertainment on CNN, but as far the boring stuff goes like job creation etc. he is doing bloody well.

He is a bloody a pathetic president. Lets just create the biggest welfare state? Lets let illegals aliens get citizenship and be more of a drain on the country.
Just a quick google search of his failures

Would have been terrible but really? To bow to a country like NK over a bloody movie? Seriously are you kidding me?
So where does it end? They attack Japan and wipe them out and the USA back down because they dont want to dirty their hands? No oil there ? Its pathetic but I dont expect Liberals and supporters of Obamerica to agree with me

most democratic presidents came across as spineless with foreign relations. carter? Clinton? last strong democrat president was Kennedy.

Sounds like you are describing South Africa rather than the U.S. to be honest...

Funny how no other American president since the end of the cold war had the spine to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba.

What? He's an excellent warmonger. Which is the main reason I don't like him. He kept the wars going that Dubya started plus started a few new ones. Sent in more drones to kill brown people than anyone before him. Cracked down on this pesky "privacy" thing more than any Republican could ever dream of. He basically created ISIS. If he just pulled back the damn troops like he promised and left well enough alone, the world wouldn't have to deal with this ****.

As for being successful at job creation - duh, he took over in the greatest economic downturn since the 30's. So once that was over, of course things could only improve. That's like the ANC saying they improved the economy. Yeah, morons, having international sanctions lifted pretty much guarantees the economy will do better.

Pretty much the only good thing Obama did was Romneycare.

why is it considered an act of strength to restore ties with a piss ant little island that regularly violated human rights regularly (and still supports communism?)

He'd blame Obama for not heeding intelligence advise to stop the screenings. That's our OP for you - Obama is damned is he acts and damned when he doesn't.

Well they only had Johnson, Carter, Clinton and Obama since then. All of them (except Carter) served more than one term (Johnson maybe because of sympathy for Kennedy).

So according to the Americans they didn't suck so bad.

Possibly because it will involve annoying a crap load of ex-Cuban voters in Florida. Piss-ant it may be but the things you mentioned haven't prevented the US having full diplomatic ties with China, North Korea & Vietnam. It has always come across as supremely petty that the US cannot have relations with such a minor little island when they have restored relations with countries they have actually had wars with.

This is by far Sony's most elaborate marketing scheme, wasn't interested at first, but now, I definitely want to see this movie.

I'm not sure, but I think it's the principal that they are on our backdoor and they let our greatest enemy in (Russia). I'm not disagreeing that it's petty....but old wounds run deep.

How is he an excellent warmonger? By not getting involved in a war in Syria that Republicans urged him to get into?

And no, he didn't create ISIS. They started in Jordan with the purpose of overthrowing the Jordanian government. And pulling out the troops (which happened in 2011) left something of a vacuum that they seized on.

And no, the economic recovery wasn't in any way certain. He avoided a depression and is leading a faster recovery than any previous modern president.

There's a huge list if you feel like reading. In short, no, healthcare isn't his only accomplishment.

Joking, right?

Wow, one time he didn't listen to the Republicans. He's supposed to tell them to go **** themselves each time, especially in his second term. Unless by some rare coincidence the Republicans want something that's actually good for the US or the world.

He continued the wars in iRaq and Afghanistan, one of his major campaign promises was that he would end them. There is literally no reason for them to continue. There was no reason to even start them in the first place. Bring back the goddamn army ffs. What could they possibly gain there?

He led NATO to invade and destabilize Libya. Gadaffi wasn't a nice guy by any means but at least there was some sort of peace under him. Look at Libya now.

Maybe "created" isn't the right word, but he sure as hell strengthened ISIS. By ordering all the drone strikes and killing who-knows how many innocents, he just makes it so easy for the terrorists to recruit more people. How would you feel if some American drone (which you wouldn't even see btw) just bombed out your entire family one day for no reason? Most people would love an organization promising them some sort of vengeance.

Nothing is ever certain, but recovery was pretty damn likely. What did he exactly do to change it? He gave MORE tax cuts to the rich than Bush did. The exact opposite of what he promised and what the American people wanted. He pushed the national debt to new record highs, where he could have significantly reduced it.

The Affordable Care Act is what he will be remembered for and that's it. So much for "change".

President Carter has every US president beat hands-down in my book. He legalized home brewing (for personal and family use) and kick-started the craft brewery industry. Respect.

Oh, and started a non-profit campaign that has virtually eradicated the Guinea worm - that nasty parasite that slowly grows throughout your body, getting up to 3 m long.
