Good afternoon fellow Mybroadbanders :p

So let me get straight to the point, I am busy with a quite big video project (short film) and I'm using Sony Vegas 12 to do the editing. The problem is, that it keeps freezing and crashing on me. I get that age old "stopped responding" message, usually it does this when previewing a clip.

I have also tried Vegas 11, it does it less often, but it still happens. I know that there are compatibility issues with Sony Vegas and many different graphics cards, and I know that turning off GPU-acceleration fixes the problem, but then rendering takes forever...

My Specs:
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
GFX : Asus (Nvidia) GTX 560Ti Direct CUII (DRIVER VERSION: 306.23, the latest...)
CPU : Intel Q8400 Core 2 Quad
Mobo : Intel DP45SG
RAM : 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
PSU : Huntkey 550W (2 rails I think)
HDD : 320Gb Sata

Does anyone know of any driver version that might be more compatible, or any other suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, seeing that the project I'm working on is very important and I have a deadline.

I kept getting "out of memory" messages when rendering with 4GB's bumped up to 8GB's and I don't get them anymore... just a warning.

I also gave up on 11 and got 10, so far not a single issue with it.

Hi there,
I looked on the SOny Site and your card should be supported by Vegas 11 at least. Have you sent a query to their support?
I would also increase the memory as far as you can to get the best performance.

Regards

Tim
