Ouch,sorry man.Luckily my uncles seems to be some other issue since the screen and glass are fine but it seems some components may be loose inside as the phone does random things like dial out etc.......going to just send it in and see what they quote.

Buddy of mines S4 screen cracked after he dropped it on a gravel road. He loaded adh on my suggestion, got the warranty till 2016, called the same day and phone is in for free repair right now.
 
Which begs the question, cases?

Edit: anyone using a tempered glass screen protector? And would it protect from drops?

My Z2 has slid off my bed several times this month, fortunately landing on the carpet. Damn thing is so slippery so not good to place it on an incline (however slight) and gravity will do it's work and the phone will work itself off the surface in question :o

I put little rubber boots on the back of my xperia-s. I wonder if you should do the same.

Loot.co.za should have TuffLuv Tempered glass screen protectors for Z2 at R200. That's where I got mine for my Note 3. Well worth it IMO.
 
I am going to hold out for this http://za.mobilefun.com/44850-sony-wch10-qi-wireless-charging-plate.htm in terms of charging my phone. The case that came with the phone is a bit of a pain because I have to keep the flap open while its charging. But that is my biggest gripe with the phone :)

now to get all my itunes songs and movies on to the xperia, any good conversion apps you can recommend?

Had wireless charging with my s3, much lower current, and you obviously can't use the phone while it's charging. Nice as a dock, but the s3 was elevated and angled.

I was hoping the wireless charging dock would be quicker than charging with the standard micro usb. The connector you posted about is definitely cheaper but they dont ship to South Africa. It does look like I can get it from the amazon UK store so will investigate some more

Yea, using the smaller one of the two. Come to think of it, anyone not using their small one (purple would be awesome) want to swap with my larger white one?

Tried the noise cancelling earphones today with the smallest earbuds and its still not comfortable. meh, maybe I just need to wear it a bit and see if its gets better.

I got a black phone and... NEON GREEN smartbands of all colours! Hated it at first, but kinda like iy now! Using the small one...
