My Z2 was submerged under water. About 10cm for 10seconds, condensation is on both cam lenses and water came in on the screen. All flaps were tightly closed.

Bought from Orange store, so hoping they can replace or something. None of the cameras are working :/

^^ That blows man. Based on what happened to you and my own experience I won't be placing too much faith in the water resistance.
So my flap that covers the micro sim and charging port is screwed  Doesn't want to stay on or flush. I've looked for obstructions but I don't see any!
Yesterday, I took a tiny paintbrush and brushed out the cavity and the flap itself as meticulously as I could around 4pm. It seemed to accomplish nothing. During the course of the evening the flap still was not staying on. Around midnight whilst out at a club I noticed now miraculously the flap was staying on. Got home around 4am and opened the flap to charge the phone overnight. Today it still seems to be staying closed and the flap is flush to the rest of the chassis. Holding thumbs it will remain so.

If it happens again I'm going to try rubbing alcohol or silicon lubricant or even get myself a can of compressed air to blow any specks of dust away.

Purchase a magnetic charger of eBay. Will preserve your flaps. Around R30 including delivery...

So sorry to hear! :(

Unfortunately Sony does not have an ADH Premium insurance like Samsung, so I hope you have insurance on it!

*I dropped my gold Galaxy S5 from a hand basin onto a tile floor, and still looking for any scratches or damage.

Nope :(

In 17 years of having phones, I've never dropped, lost or had one stolen so I thought it was a waste of money :/ In hindsight perhaps I should have.

This is just under knee height ; so not chuffed at all

I see you are specific about colour, can we now conclude that the gold s5 is the strongest? :p

My wife has a Z1 and she's dropped it NUMEROUS times over the past couple of years. The corners are all scratched and dented quite a bit, but the glass is still in tact on both sides. The USB cover broke off recently though...
