You'll be looking at R2000.
:'(
Is it the gorilla glass cover only that broke or the LCD as well?
Seems only the glass

How to hard reset a Sony Xperia Z2
While most other smartphones have a complicated way to perform a hard reset, Sony has made it very easy for you. There is no need to access the recovery partition or do weird button combinations.
There is a tiny button under the cover of the microSD slot. Find a pin (or something pointy) and press & hold it. This will hard reset your phone.
Micro-USB male to USB female. Will allow you to plug in a mouse to your phone... Quite cheap to buyI'm not even sure what that is - but guessing I don't have one?
Mirrors the screen?

Dolby, I had the same problem. Dropped it and screen was unresponsive. Had to replace the glass and screen, came out to a cool R4,600.00

Indeed. I've dropped my Note 2 several times, corners are well chipped but still works fine. Since the Note 3 Samsung will replace broken screens for free.
It's contract renewal time and I was leaning towards the Z3 but that Z2 screen replacement cost is rather off putting ...
I want a Z3 Compact
Form factorHow did you decide between the Z3 and the Z3 Compact?
Yeah, assuming the status quo is maintained, I'm going back to Samsung in 1.5 years time. I still prefer the way Samsung does everything on the Galaxy S range.Indeed. Yeah, don't assume. My concern was water damage, so I asked my broker to be sure. Hopefully he's right though when he said that would be covered!!Everyone can't believe I don't have cellphone insurance - but I thought the majority of them covered lost or stolen only? Drops were excluded or were difficult to get them to pay out?
