Anyone point me in the right direction to get the rear glass replaced? Dropped mine and popped out of the cover and proceeded to smash the rear glass.

Phone still performs fine just don't want to sit with a broken piece of glass at the back.

It's like 13usd at Alibaba or dx. Can't remember. According to the YouTube videos it's very simple to DIY.

Imo buy a case and you'll forget it's cracked.

Well im disappointed. On holiday at moment and my son was swimming in splash pool. He almost 3 and pool only about 500mm deep. Covers were closed you actually hear me checking and saying they closed on video to my wife. Video recorded beautifully. No problems. That was yesterday morning.

Wife used camera this evening to take a picture of the sunset. Pic came out blurry and she then noticed condensation on the camera lens. Quick google shows its a common problem. Had phone now for a week. Well I think it was a week yesterday. Vodacom contract.

A bit unsure what to do. I have been recording and deleting 4k videos with it the last hour with flaps open with the idea that the heat may help clear some moisture.

Anyone experienced this yet?

Can post pic later.

No rice in cottage where we staying now. Currently have all flaps open. I now notice that the speaker not working. As well as screen rotation even though it is active under settings. I may just create another thread regarding this will see if anything changes tomorrow.

That sucks! I know they say it's waterproof, but I'm keeping mine away from water as much as I can!

Why would you run it to dry it out?
Do you know how this whole thing works?

You've probably ****ed it further by doing that and most likely caused a short.

I dropped my Nokia N8 in the toilet.
I dried it off and left it in rice for the week as well as leaving it in a dry spot to be dead sure.
It worked for about 3-4 weeks before things started going haywire.
Turned it self on and off, touch screen not working, etc.

I have since retired the phone.

I have the same issue with mine! Left it in uncooked rice with all flaps open then the condensation vanished.
But both cameras are not working, sent it back to for "repair" or "replacement" still waiting for feedback.

But yes, definitely not waterproof!

Phone promised it is water proof, and not so ... But having said that, there are restrictions to just how waterproof ... How does one prove you did not go deep sea diving with the phone for 3 hours ... I'm pretty sure Sony have stated some time values as too how long and at what depth it can be submerged ? But none the less I'll contact Sony and demand a refund or replacement ... You the customer they should just replace it

saw this yesterday - any idea when this is coming through to us? Already asked Vodacom but wouldn't count on them giving us average joe's a response...
It will probably be released when 5.0 comes out overseas

Yeah. They stated it can be submerged in water up to 1.5m deep for no longer than 30 minutes.

And it cant be proved that I did or didnt go deep see diving. What can be proved is whether or not the phone has a manufacturing defect/problem. And they can do this by performing a vacuum test on the phone.

It is very strange that I can see the screen light through the headphone jack.

Anyway phone is currently at their advanced repair centre and I will update when I have more info.

I can also see the screen light through headphone jack but never had a water problem

I'm just going to install the UK version myself. Wouldn't count on us ever getting the updates.
