Sony Xperia Z2

Got it on my Z, it's rooted got all z3 apps using nova launcher and Ultra Pure X Rom from Rajeev on XDA forums, it flies. .283 kernel and 4.4.4 Kk we also getting latest android 5 for all Sony Z devices. Hoooohaa.
 
Z2 has the worst quality speaker i have ever heard. Try and make a call and it sounds like you talking into a tin can. Used it for 2 weeks before going back to iphone.

Not sure how you used your phone, my Z2 is miles better than my Samsung S3 ever was. Great speakers.
 
I found that stupid noise suppression made the other person not be able to hear me - once that is off, great!

As for the speak, quality is great but I do wish it was a little louder
 
Mines a boom box. I keep having to turn the volume down. xda has the way to do it.
 
Just goy my wife a purple Z2. So far she is loving it.

Quality feels great and when in your hand it certainly feels like a premium device.

Only thing I noticed so far is the screen aint as bright as my S3 even with brightness set max. But thats not a bad thing I guess.

Just need to get her a decent cover and screen protector. Would hate this phone to have a hard drop since back of phone is also a large piece of glass.
 
Within auto brightness you can do a fine adjustment. If you switch off auto brightness then only will you get max brightness by moving the slider.
 
Which cases do you guys use that still allow the magnetic dock to work ?
 
@nadimm, how are you using the magnetic charging port on the phone if you don't have the DK36 magnetic charger?
 
I did. But it made sense since I was buying other ish at the same time. You can get them really cheap from alibaba or dx, but I'd wait for the PO strike to end.

If that strike ended tomorrow there would still be a huge backlog for a few weeks.

Anyone point me in the right direction to get the rear glass replaced? Dropped mine and popped out of the cover and proceeded to smash the rear glass.

Phone still performs fine just don't want to sit with a broken piece of glass at the back.
