Hi all
Background
Had 2 iphone 5 and both had issues went in 3 times
Current is a Sam S5 mother board replaced battery replaced but still dies quick and still slow only 18 months old

I can't handle it anymore
So my choices are in order
Sony Z5
Samsung S5
IPhone 6s

I have had the usual blackberry bad iphone bad and my current samsung S5 I had a sony erricson long ago and had no issues with that

I am a camera fan hense the 1st option to be a sony

So am I making a good choice or am I going backwards even further

Definitely the way you are using the phones ... Best you invest in a SLR and buy a cheapie Nokia

The problem I'm having is not camera related. It's slow so slow you can dial the number and it will not show the number. Even now as I type this I have to pause for 3 seconds for it to show what I wrote. No additional memory card and have 20gb of space no widgets or animation on. The phone is just problematic.

Factory reset it

It's no longer Sony Ericsson by the way, it's now just Sony, they bought out Ericsson. Still a great phone/brand but it won't have the same "feel" as the pre-smartphone SEs.

As for the other two. The S6 has a 2K screen so it's battery life isn't as good as the Z5 (which has class-leading battery life, although not quite as good as the Z3 before it), nor is the camera. Though it should perform slightly better as it has a custom Samsung chipset rather than the Snapdragon 810 that most other high-end Androids have which has been known to overheat (although Sony claimed they managed to contain the problem).

And I don't know the iPhone but I dislike everything Apple so I'd never advise you to get that.

No phone is perfect, just get one that appeals to you and live with the quirks. You must be doing something wrong with your S5 because unless you've installed every bloatware app known to man, it should run pretty flawlessly.

Z5 no contest.

Honestly Check out the LG G4.
it sounds like you are quite hard on your phone when it comes to battery life, and having a removable battery might just solve your problem.

I cannot fault the Z5, its the best option on the list. but the list should not have the S6 on it. the G4 should be in its place.

I am glad I did not have to make the call between the Z5 and the G4. but I spent 2 months looking up every possible comparison between the G4 and the S6, and I am glad I went for the G4.

give the phone a fair chance and it will impress you.

Out of those, definitely the Sony. Just take care of it ffs.
