Sous Vide immersion circulator

My big slowcooker on does 55 degrees on low. No need for a circulator.
Slowcooker is a good alternative. chuck water in and the sealed bags etc. Cook for long period.

I think the issue comes in when you want to do root veggies or bigger things like corn-on-the-cob. Which require a higher temp. or if you have a specific preference, maybe you wanna do a steak for 1hour 30min but on 62degree's.

I guess you can work off the Low and high setting on Slowcooker, just extend the time it takes. Similar result. Just space might be a issue. Most Sousvide bath containers are 11liter and 22liter.

Odd comment.

In any case. Smoked some ribs for 3 hours in smoker then bagged for 12 hours on 74C and then finished on the weber (with sweet sauce). Softest most succulent ribs I've had. Absolutely amazing. Will definitely be doing that one again.
