Here is my team according to the performances this far (injured players excluded)

1.D.Greyling
2.B.Du plesis
3.W.Nel
4.Eben Etzebeth
5.A.Bekker
6.CJ Stander
7.J.Potgieter
8.P.Spies
9.F.Hougaard
10.M.Steyn
11.B.Habana
12.F.Steyn*
13.J.De Villiers
14.B.Basson
15.J.Peterson

16.C.Ralapela
17.Beast
18.J.Kruger
19.H.Brussouw
20.R.Pienaar / F.Du Preez
21.JP. Peterson
21.Z.Kritchner

Thant Said, i have a few options i would like to explore with P.Spies playing lock rather than NR8, i think hê would make a damn fine lock and that would open the door for D.Vermeulen, he plays the role indirectly at the bulls quite allot.
I don’t think anyone can question CJ Stander and Jaques Potgieter this far, they are playing brilliant rugby, CJ stander not being a natural fetcher has outperformed the other “fetchers” this far
My reason for Francios Steyn in the team is I’m not sure if he will be available, if he is then he will be a sure pick, shifting de Villiers to outside centre.

The props have not really impressed me that much, Jannie Du plesies has gone backwards on a few occasions, Dean Greyling is playing some of the better rugby this season

Oi!!

How the %&$^ did I miss this thread?

And nobody even invites me! /bitchslap

Lambie?

And leave out who?, sure he is one hell of a flyhalf, but who do i leave out?

I know allot would disagree, but like it or not, Morné Steyn is the best flyhalf we have, period
As for the Bench, who do i leave out?

Easy.

Leave Kirchner out and play Lambie at fullback. Joe moves to the bench.

I have a few other spots I would also change. When I get time I will post my team.

Look, I also think Lambie plays very well at Fullback but i would not play him out of position, i also think Kirchner brings something to the game, he is a very strong runner, good under the high ball, brilliant up and unders, good defense, hê has hardly made any mistakes this season and deserves a place on the bench.

I also don’t know if Meyer will be playing Frans Steyn at Fullback or Inside Centre, but I’m pretty sure Steyn is getting married or something and won’t be available for the England series, in which case Jean De Villiers will be inside Centre and most probably JP Peterson will be outside Centre, which will open a place on the bench for Lambie, but then the question comes up what about Peter Grant?
This is actually the first time we have a Nice problem, Steyn, Grand, Lambie and Goosen are all good enough to play for the Boks, even Elton Jantjes isn’t bad, this Fouche guy that plays for the bulls from the bench is also not made a mistake, Eberson also never disappoints...

Thirded, no one outside of Pretoria thinks anything of Krusty, he's a shyte player and has already been found wanting at international level. Lambie, playing out of position, on a bad day, still outperforms that moegoe 5-1.

Look, im not going to get into a dispute with you guys, look at the stats, and you tell me who is the better fullback, please don’t tell me all about Lambie’s kick record, he is after all a Flyhalf and not a fullback.

Don’t take this out of context, I’m not saying Lambie is not a brilliant player, I’m saying Zane is a much better player than you make him out to be

Have you seen that Lambie keeps shifting to fullback during the the final stages of Sharks games?

That is a request from above to the Sharks coaching staff and means Lambie will be played at Fullback for the Boks.

Kirchner is not a bad player and is actually a very nice guy as well. But he does not have what it takes to make an impact at Test level. He is a good Currie Cup/S15 player. Nothing more. Same with Hennie Daniller, Josh Strauss and plenty of others.

And we are not in dispute with you. We are just making our opinions known. I respect your opinion as well.

Thanks, but let’s agree to disagree on Kirchner :-)
Allot of the bulls success has come from Kirchner and with Meyer in the picture we probably will see a Bulls style of playing.

But ja, if they select Lambie at fullback it will be great, he is a very capable player and if something has to happen with Steyn or he has a off day Lambie will fill the kicking shoes sufficiently.

What’s your thoughts about our locks, props and lose forwards, i see Heinrich has made the most tackles for a SA player this far, will you rather put him at 6 and move Stander to 7?, but what happens with the physical presense and ball carrying qualities Potgieter has?, what do we do when wê get Burger back?, do you think he is beter that Stander/Potgieter at the moment?

What about Marcell Coetzee, Willhem Alberts or Kolisi at 6/7. I'm not a huge fan of the Bulls loose forwards to be honest. Lock pairing would definitely be Bekker/Etzebeth I honestly don't see anyone able to best them at the moment.

I try to watch all of the games, and my personal decision is based on that, looking at the stats Kolisi has made a lot of tackles, but he is far behind Brussouw, i have always like Alberts, last year hê would have been a sure selection, but i’ll be honest with you, this Jaques Potgieter is bigger, stronger and faster, have you seen him play?, he breaks tackles, he almost always gets over the advantage line, he tackles, he jumps in the line out, hê has really impresses me this season, same goes for Stander who was called up as a fetcher (and actually being a Nr8) hê has done really fantastic, i might be wrong, but isn’t he leading the try scoring log for forwards?

But again, it’s a Nice problem to have, picking a trio out of Burger, Brussouw, Stander, Albers, Vermeulen, Spies, Both Potgieters should be a selectors dream :-)
There is no doubt in my mind Bekker is the best Lock SA has at the moment, and the Bekker/Etzebeth being the best lock partnership, Etzebeth is still young but i believe with Bekker next to him he can rise to any occasion!

Wings we are lucky that Habana has got his form back, the other side concerns me, we have JP Peterson which is solid, strong on his legs, good up and under, fantastic defender, then we have Basson the try scoring machine, his only flaw being his defense is questionable, same with Gio Applon

Centers the obvious choice would have been Jean/Jaques, but with Jaques making himself unavailable it’s going to be interesting what Meyer does, the De Jong/De Villiers pair is fantastic, but we have all seen how good Frans Steyn is at Inside Centre at the world cup,

But i think all and all we are covered at Center

My Flyhalf/Scrumhalf selection speak for itself, i would not pick anyone else as my first choice, my second choice would be Pienaar/Lambie, luckily we have the needed depth on both positions.

Hookers we have Bismark and Chiliboy, with Straus on standby

Props, here is my headache, no one really lights up the field, or makes the other props shiver...lol, Dean Greyling and the Beast are probable the best loose head props we have, the problem is actually the tight head prop, Jannie is not world class if you ask me and he loves to give away penalties, Werner Kruger does play beter at this stage, i have always liked W.Nel but is he world class, i don’t know.
I’m probably going to get criticism about this comment, but i truly believe the best Tight head we have is BJ Botha.

Marcell Coetzee still needs to prove that he can keep this up for atleast one more season. Alberts is a shadow of himself thus far this season. Kolisi (also more of a fetcher) imo is the only flanker that can be compared to Stander at the moment.

Stander is not a fetcher but has been one if not the best fetcher for a SA team thus far this super series....

My team (no injured players).

1) Kitshoff (Yes I know he is young but he will be fine :p)
2) Chilli Boy (Bismarck if he keeps improving)
3) Nel
4) Etzebeth
5) Bekker
6) Brussouw
7) CJ Stander
8) Spies (Would have been vermeulen but he is injured)
9) Hougie
10) Steyn (Would have been Goosen)
11) Habana / Mvuvo (sp?)
12) Steyn
13) De Villiers
14) JP Peterson / Basson
15) Lambie

16) Bismarck
17) Beast
18) Peterson (Joe)
19) JJ Engelbrecht
20) Pienaar
21) Elstadt / J.Kruger
22) Kolisi / Or another lock / 8th man / utility forward :p

Most turnovers won:

12. Zane Kirchner (Bulls) 19

:0

Surely that can't be right? I've never seen him make a turnover in my life!

My team (no injured players).

1) Tendai
2) Bismarck (No question here)
3) Jannie (May have a lot of disagreement here, but still feel the Sharks front row is the best)
4) Etzebeth
5) Bekker
6) Brussouw (Don't think he's the same - can't think of a name to replace him now though)
7) CJ Stander
8) Alberts (Spies I feel needs to take a well earned rest - recoup and comeback)
9) Hougie
10) Steyn (Would have been Goosen)
11) Mvovo (I would be happy if Habana didn't play for Boks again)
12) Whitehead (Or whoever is De Villiers' current partner - I'm excluding Steyn based on not being here long enough)
13) De Villiers
14) JP Peterson / Basson
15) Lambie

16) Chilliboy
17) The Bulls No1
18) Viljoen
19) JJ Engelbrecht
20) Mcleod (Pienaar may be playing well, still don't think it's right for internationals to be first choice)
21) Elstadt / J.Kruger
22) Kolisi / Deysel / Keegan / utility forward :p

That would be my team for now.... It's with players that have stuck out in my mind, but I'll check the roster again as I feel I may have missed some important fella's.

Look, I’ll respect all your decisions, but McLeod?, i rate Bolla Conradie/Enrico January higher than this guy, i really cant think of a scrum half worse than this guy, going by all your questionable choices I take it you are a shark supporter? :p

That tells me all I need to know :D
But yeah I am a Shark supporter. Yes Mcleod has his theatrics, but he is still bloody good.

Edit: To be fair it is only my opinion and thus if you feel Bolla/Enrico are better, then so be it.

Beter than McLeod yes, better than Fourie/Hougaard/Vermaak/Pienaar/Cronje/van Zyl/Duvenage, NO

PS. also only my opinion ;)
