I share your sentiments (sadly).

I believe in picking combinations. If Morne Steyn and Peter Grant are the two flyhalves, then Hougaardt and Duvenhage must be their scrummies.

Bud your last few posts have all been worded such that I agree with your points, but disagree at the same time

Taking them in combinations means a potential better 'understanding' between those players, but I wouldn't take the combination as they're not always the best in that position. All the players would technically be trained under coaches they aren't used to, thus the 'understanding' could be formed by any good pairing?

How does one buy tickets for the Coca Cola Park game? At Computicket there only seems to be tickets available for two of the games and it doesn't include the one in Johhanesburg.

Would have loved to go watch the game live.

Springbok live rugby is greater than any Super final I have watched.

I think the only thing that can top a Springbok test is a Springbok World Cup game.

Fourie du Preez has made himself available to the Springboks for the Test series against England in June.

Well that is not very nice to say.

Du Preez said it would be an honour to play for the Springboks again if his services are needed in a crisis, and explained that he would be happy to work with the younger players as a mentor but added that he believes players based in South Africa should have the inside track.

"However, I believe South African-based players should receive preference in the national set-up," said Du Preez.

Duvenhage has no bok exp.

If Hougie is injured we have no senior scrummie with test experience in SA....

Hougaardt was Fourie's understudy... does that not look like it is paying off?

Yep, it did pay off, which now make him the first choice scrummie.

Now is also a good time to blood new players who should still be around for the next RWC. We all go on about how strong the S15 is in comparison to Northern Hemisphere competitions, so now is the time to acknowledge the players who are performing at S15 level.

If all else fails bring back Ruan! :twisted:

Good point.

At the moment I would rather have Ruan on the bench than Fourie as he is playing "tougher" rugby and he covers no. 9, 10, 15 and hougie 9,11 and in a VERY tight spot 13.

It also solves the experience problem.

I will not have a problem with fourie coming to give the young guns some tips and as far as hm being included, well it won't have me cursing as badly as lets say bringing Bobby out of retirement again
