Spur has gone too far

It seems like you don’t go to the Spur but I’d be interested to know what kind of place you do frequent as a comparison. My opinion as explained earlier is you don’t k ow what a gem you actually have. It takes a lot of heat and no doubt from people like yourself who don’t actually frequent but for some reason like to crap all over them.

And it’s just one restaurant. I’m not disclosing on here for obvious reasons but I will sent you a PM which I trust you will not share with anyone. Several people on here know this place, some have visited and they will vouch for it.

You said it was inedible and extremely expensive. It was your first reply to me. I’m on my phone so can’t be arsed fiddling about finding it. It’s a few posts up.

Anyway, it’s nothing about dying on culinary hills or saying it deserves a Michelin star, it’s a decent burger at a decent price. That’s it. God knows where you eat but I suspect you are doing exactly as I said earlier and schitting on the Spur because it’s the Spur. And as I said, I don’t get it.

I don't think his mind can comprehend that some places can be run really well by competent staff. Also, smaller towns don't have 5000 places to choose from like WC.

I have had enough Spur experiences to realize how kak they are.
Being dragged there by other friends whose own kids cannot entertain themselves in a "restaurant".
My kids winning vouchers for Spur at school.
MIL and FIL "inviting" us there.

So I am talking out of experience, until approx 2 years ago I just said no more.

YOUR admiration for this "gem" is purely rooted in sentiment and not on culinary fact.

I do not frequent a "kind of place" like you asked/stated.

Here in CPT we have numerous privately owned eateries, craft beer places with their own food, wine farms with their own restaurants...the list is endless.

There is zero reason for me to ever set foot in a Spur again. Jesus, they cannot even make onions rings, FFS.

I bet you have some great places in CT. But I’ll guarantee they are more expensive for the same quality and often hit and miss. I do eat out a fair bit as well you know.

But no. My sentiment is based on a good burger at a decent price. That’s really all there is to it.

This low brow deflection does not work at all. It is just a sign of a general lack of intelligence and actual self confidence and being completely incapable of having a real opinion relevant to the thread/topic.

Just because you have no convictions in life or anything that you feel even averagely strong about, does not mean other people that do, have issues in life. People with real opinions, that also speak them out loud, get much further in life than people that address any argument, the way you do.

This is the same zero intellect approach, where posters are admonished by the likes of you, for commenting on something they dislike, with : "You don't care about it, so why are you commenting?"

Online debate/arguments and discussions actually meant something until people like you were granted internet access and subsequently access to the world from the basement.

Now go home and get your shoeshine box....

Maybe it's rather YOU that's getting worked up by my valid critisizm of the Spur...? Re-considering your culinary choices and lack of knowledge thereof in this world?

Starting to project now? Especially since nothing at the Spur can support your admiration of it?

Yep....once the doubt sets in, the projection starts.

Enjoy the food...just make sure you're within dashing distance of a toilet.
 
Last meal I had at Spur was this. Don't let the looks fool you, afterwords I felt like I ate a bag of recycled plastic from a junk yard. It had that metal aftertaste. Never again my friends....
