Spur Incident

Umm watch the video and then when u done watch it again , this guy totally controlled himself from assaulting her.

Lol, he did a great job with controlling himself.... ye in your world of insanity perhaps

I don't feel like soiling myself by watching that again but did he actually call her anything racist or say anything racist? I heard the whole PK thing and violence but not any racial slurs?

"I hate how this discussion is gravitating towards "how fragile/vulnerable ALL women are and they should be treated with the utmost care.

1 idiot did this but all men are being painted with the samwe brush.

Yes there are some misogynistic men out there but we cant vilify ALL men.

I feel like men will be pushed under the bus, due to this saga.

We teach little girls, they are equal BUT forget to mention that they get special treatment from society, which can lead to them becoming entitled.

Little boys are taught to respect females BUT are we going to tell them the truth?

Never agrue with a female or you will feel the backlash of society."

Oh please. Stop overreacting already. No one is claiming all women are fragile and vulnerable. Nor is anyone claiming all men are abusive. NO ONE IS SAYING ALL MEN OR ALL SA FOR THAT MATTER ARE ABUSIVE. What I'm saying is that there is a major problem in this country when it comes to the abuse of women and children. That man's behaviour was over the top. He should not have behaved in such a manner toward a woman. If he had also cussed her back fine, but to threaten violence? How was she going to fair in a physical confrontation with him? Why did he feel violence was his only response? And judging by some of the comments here, he's not the only man who would have reacted in a violent way toward her. It's a problem. Let's admit and do something about it.

That's the disappointing part, some are hell bent on defending this guy. You can thus assume they would have behaved in exactly the same manner, probably even worse.

So we have assumed with certainty that her child started the hitting? Evidence? Or does that count for nothing like the fact that this guy has a history of violence. A fact I see everyone chooses to flat out ignore

lol right, and if the kids did smack each other, its still right for this person to respond the way they did?

one parent approached another "parent"/guardian about the behavior of a child. the response is to FO. what do you think will happen?

or should the parent/guardian try to find out what the story is and discuss it as adults/parents with one another.

i suppose also, she might have reacted like this because she might not actually be a parent, she doesn't know how to approach these things correctly. she has no compassion for the fellow parent because she might not be one?

Tell me how your sexism against men will help end sexism against women?

It's your opinion that I'm sexist. I'm not overly concerned about your opinion of me in this matter. I'm talking about something bigger than sexism to me. I'm talking about the abuse of women and children and why a lot of males in SA feel it's okay to resort to violence against women. It's a problem that needs to be addressed. We need to stop sidestepping or getting all defensive about it.

So what was the cause of all the violence against women before feminism was ever a thing?
The same thing that's the cause now? Biology.

Feminism makes the problem worse because it attacks the biology, rather than using biology for a common benefit.

oh yes, Ive already mentioned it too without realizing. what about her verbal assault on him?

racists freaking out because its white vs black.

sexist freaking out because its female vs male.

all she had to do was apologise and none of this would have happened.

Apologise for? Kids being kids? At that point nobody even knew which kid started it.

An example of why men tend to get focuses on when it comes to violent crime, these states from the state of Victoria in Australia...

No one is saying that most men are guilty of these things, just that at the moment, in modern society, the vast majority of people who do commit these crimes are men.

All good and well. Interestingly though and off topic, take your post and replace sex with race (using stats from a country that actually keeps them) and the universe collectively ****s itself. :crylaugh:

Feminism makes the problem worse because it attacks the biology, rather than using biology for a common benefit.

So if it's down to Biology and not society, please explain why some societies are massively more violent than others? And also please explain why modern societies are generally a lot less violent than those from say 1000 years ago?

Where is all this happening? I don't see this amongst colleagues, friends, acquaintances.

yes apologise for kids being kids. kids are the parents/guardians responsibility. why even ask that??

make the kids apologise and to one another too.

stop trying to look for excuses, the woman did not handle the complaint correctly and the guy allowed himself to be taunted.

he acted like a dick, she acted like a bee with an itch.

I'm pointing out that this god parent is not innocent like people are trying to make out. because shes black and female and hes white and male. its pathetic. typical libtard crap going overboard.

You know how people say that Muslim extremism is a problem for Muslims people to deal with (there is a whole thread here about it) and how it's said that moderate Muslims must speak out and publicly take a stand against extremism or their silence can be considered part of the problem?

It's the same thing here. It may be true that most men are not violent and rapists , or even misogynist, but unless all men recognise this is a problem for men to deal with and unless good men speak out and publicly take a stand against misogyny, things will not change. A man supports 'small' misogynistic tendencies, who laughs at misogynistic jokes, for example, men who never stand up publicly against this problem, who always try to defend or justify such behaviour are part of the problem. Silence is just as much a part of the problem as blatant support of male violence in society.

This. Absolutely agree with you.

so you don't think testosterone and aggression is linked.. lol

What if I refute your premise and say that feminism is the problem - not misogynism?
Well then you'd have to provide evidence for your refutation. Seems unlikely considering that the countries where women have the most rights and a better chance of being treated fairly are also those countries with a history of feminism. You can also look at how the lives of women have improved post feminism compared to those same societies prior to feminism

Of course there is a link, but thinking human beings are not always slaves to their biology.

well this is supposedly what differentiates us from animals. innit bruv.

you can will it otherwise. but it doesn't meant that it has no effect.

also testosterone levels have been declining from thousands of years ago according to some studies. less need for a man to go out and be tough in the wild to come home with a wild boar for dinner. men looking after babies/children also reduced testosterone levels.
