I don't see the option for discount (Clicks card). Is this not available for pre-booking?

Edit: Nevermind. Cancelled the booking and tried again and then it worked.
But it didn't want to accept my FNB c/card. Only my FNB debit card (MasterCard). Lotsa Gremlins on their website. Oh well.

Booked for me and my 6 yr old boy. That was my age when I saw my first Star Wars movie in the cinemas...

You don't hate Jar-Jar Binks? Yea no I actually hated that stupid, racist, bad-CGI sock puppet. You could have cut him out with scissors from the movies and increased their score by 3 points, just like that - big white scissor marks on the screen > Jar Jar Binks himself.

Aside from that, Phantom Menace was insufferably boring and un-mythical. The tone was all wrong. Star Wars technology looks cobbled together and utilitarian, not shiny and futuristic. The Force is a numinous energy that binds all creatures, not a microscopic bug. I have a hard time finding a single redeeming feature of that movie. I barely remember the second one and I never bothered to watch the third.

Lucas was too eager to unleash his cutting edge cgi tech on the public and forgot about fleshing out interesting characters. Id give points to the costume design and political story.

The movie is good. Good storyline and good acting. The shark was great when the movie came out, but no so much nowadays. Its quite clearly a big animatronic piece of equipment.

Perhaps somebody should review the movie in the movie review thread?

Agreed, although I've always liked all the prequels and never understood the hate as they were my childhood Star Wars...

There may be a lot wrong with them but I glossed over that for the awesome bits, the battle scenes, the amazing lightsaber duels, Yoda being an utter badass, universe expansion etc etc

Same here. But I managed my expectations well, when others were all getting overexcited.
 
I glossed over an article on facebook that some groups are not liking a black man in the lead role and asking to boycott the movie.

Trailer looked pretty meh to me.

Think it's time for another go at the original trilogy though :cool:
