Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens

Needs to be shorter. 135 minutes is too long for a blockbuster.

Not sure if serious or ADD...

Titanic/Running time - 3h 30m

Avatar/Running time - 2h 42m

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope/Running time - 2h 16m

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back/Running time - 2h 7m

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi/Running time - 2h 16m

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - 201 min

And that won 11 oscars and is one of the highest grossing movies of all time, so 135 minutes is clearly not too long for a "blockbuster"

Agreed.
Most if not all blockbusters are over 2 hours long.
Don't know why someone will say its too short.

:wtf:

Shouldn't that be Disney/LucasArts Video? :p

Or does CBS Fox handle distribution?

Agree,....

Avatar - 162 minutes
I wouldn't be so quick to use Avatar as an example of what cinema should be aiming for. Avatar was visually spectacular but an awful film in most other respects.

Dances with Wolves with CGI and a crappier story.

I'd have said Pocahontas.

Yea you're right it took a heck of lot from Pocahontas as well. Either way it was undeniably a visual effects masterpiece. It just had a cast of forgettable cookie-cutter characters with uninspired performances by the actors, horrid pacing and a bland rehashed story we've all seen at least 3 or 4 times before.

Please people don't make reference to it as though that is how Star Wars needs to be done. It might be like Beetlejuice, say it 3 times and James Cameron will appear to redo the entire film. :(

Well, I did include 4 other movies, so as to ridicule a certain persons "135 minutes is too long for a blockbuster".
