Chancers..I help a mate on his Q7 to replace the front and rear brake pads . This was done around the end of december.
I also measured all 4 disks and all with in spec.
Anyway Mid January the car goed for its service. ( now in the time i replaced all the pads front and rear and the time the car went for a service the car had only done about 500km)
He gets a call from the vag service center telling him that all 4 disks are shot and the pads are finished.
Mate told him to F.O and he want to see the brakes and they must do nothing till he is there to see the car.
The guy phoned back and said they made a mistake.
Took my 2018 CR-V for fuel pump recall couple months ago. Went smoothly. Never had a single problem/issue with the dealership and car thank goodness.
If the car is within the main warranty period, its claimed under the manufacturer, if its in the extended warranty period, its claimed under the extended policy. Not sure why this is a issue.
Need to take my car in for a recall at a dealership, lets see if they try tack on more crap than the required recall work.
I took my previous vehicle ( the toyota accelerator recall ) and it went fine but the dealership really fished for more work etc as the car was not being serviced by them.Took my 2018 CR-V for fuel pump recall couple months ago. Trying to pass the buck (cost) onto the 3rd party warranty first I guess?

the issue is basically that you're paying for something you don't need while it offers no benefit to youIf the car is within the main warranty period, its claimed under the manufacturer, if its in the extended warranty period, its claimed under the extended policy. Not sure why this is a issue.
That may have been when they were independent, but now they are part of Motus so they will soon be like all other dealer scum. Profits at all costs.High price (for a change):
I've also heard good things about them. They don't buy just any crap.
Why, the parts can't cost more than R2500 for quality aftermarket parts?Paid R9k to replace rear break pads and discs (cause they said the discs had to be done) on a VW Kombi. I must stop being lazy and replace the front pads myself.
Btw the brake warning came on a week after doing the rear pads, and was told the front pads is the cause.
