Steam down?

That's odd, I was having some problems with steam this morning, but from about 10:00 on it worked perfectly.

I'm on Mweb, just by the way.

So I know this thread is a little old, but I'm getting some funky problems with steam.
was playing online fine about 20min ago, but now I can't play anything, my internet's still working fine.
I can even login to steam and browse the store, but my friends list says it can't connect and whenever I try to play black ops it says it can't connect.
anyone also getting this?

I'm having issues with it. Steam logs in, then shows "no connection". When I try launch MW2 it shows "unable to sync with steam cloud". When finally in the game, it says unable to play while offline; if I click on multiplayer.

I've tried going through Axxess and Web Africa, same problem.

I have no issues with Steam - oh, I'm with MWEB.

did you set you location on south africa or london and where are you CPT or JHB

Nvm, went into the game and got this error

The call of duty: black ops server is not available at this time. Please try again later or visit callofduty.com/blackops/status for updates

Closed and restarted the game, all good now
