Steers Rip Off

So ... Steers will be taking this up with their supplier .... they seem to believe that have been under supplied on mass too .....

Looks like I have uncovered a can of ribs here ......

Easy for the company to move the blame. This is getting interesting though.

I thought I was ordering a rib burger. Got the ribs. Decided to try. After chewing on the three bones for about 2 minutes I ended up vowing never to go near the ribs at Steers ever again.
 
There is no way for them to know exactly how much it will weigh after cooking, so they have to weigh it before, when raw
 
Gripping stuff man, yes please keep us up to date with play by play commentary.
 
talking about rip-off's, i had quite a laugh at their ridiculous prices here in DRC ( Democratic Republic of Congo).

Busy on a work trip , and saw their advert in the taxi this morning.

One of the menu items : 600gram Ribs with chips a cool 25 USD ( that is a lovely R362 versus the 136 we pay locally)

Think the bacon and cheese combo was 12USD ( R174 versus R57.90 locally).

really scary how they try to rip off tourists , as i can only assume the locals will never be able to afford such an expensive meal :o) - The advert is directly in USD currency, not even shown in the local currency which currently trades at 1000FC to a USD.

Bastids .... I think the reason they are entertaining me is the 40% loss which even they say looks suspect.
 
So .... one Andrew Gerber at head office is now on the case ....

Has asked me to furnish all the pics and till slip an all .....

So one step forward ... three backwards

Despite sending an e-mail copied to no fewer than 5 other Steers honchos and customer care to escalate the issue ..........

Despite re- sending another mail to ask about the issue ............

No response ...., So, I climbed onto FB - cited the mails and the reference number and I have been asked to resend the mail to escalate the issue


This is like a shampoo bottle .... rinse repeat :(
