Still connected but only able to access Cell C website

They checked everything and they cant see the problem but say my signal isn't very good and that could be the reason, so they sending me a external antenna (no cost) and are going to be putting it up this week when it arrives.
Doesn't make sense to me. How is the Cell-C website getting to you if your signal is that bad?

It's just happened to me on my phone now, the first thing I noticed was my Google Talk client went offline, I tried to go to mybroadband.co.za but couldn't, www.cellc.co.za still worked though.

Want to try see if this does anything
To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, and in Start Search, type cmd.
Right-click the cmd entry that appears in the search results, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
netsh winsock reset
Then, you should see the following message:
Successfully reset the Winsock Catalog. You must restart the computer in order to complete the reset.
Restart the computer.

Note If you receive an “Access Denied” error message instead of the message that is mentioned in step 3, the command prompt was not correctly elevated. In this case, close the Command Prompt window, and repeat steps 1 through 3. Make sure that you correctly implement step 2.

OK - what about this one then
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357
follow "Use a manual method to reset TCP/IP"

if that don't work maybe a closer look at that ipconfig - seems you got connection but no web page loading

In C:/Program files(x86)/Cell C/Driver/
Open the "release notes.txt" file & scroll to the bottom does the last entry say "Version 4.17.00.00" ?

Has your PC EVER had Norton AV on it (maybe when new,had a trial version installed?)

Most likely you have not completed RICA.

I had the same problem for a few minutes. Closed Cell C dashboard, removed modem, inserted, restarted dashboard and it worked fine since

Did u also load those newer drivers on the other thread or just do the dash fix?
Just curious to see if it what you have happening is still going on with those latter drivers

What thread? Which new drivers? I still have this issue myself.

:)

What thread? Which new drivers?
Before you go breaking things, bear in mind I have seen this issue with an E1820 plugged into my MikroTik RB411 router (so no Windows drivers involved) and also with a Cell-C SIM in my Nokia N900 (so no E1820 involved).
I still have this issue myself.
Have you ever been able to visit any website other www.cellc.co.za with this SIM, or does it work normally for a while and then you find yourself only able to access www.cellc.co.za?

The reason I ask is I think there may be two different problems here with the same symptom.

When i put vodacom sim into cellc device it works 100%. Been trying to sort out with cellc for 4 days no luck. My vpn connects and i can ping any site no problem.
Can only open cellc nothing els.

This problem is still happening.

My router's been connected for just over 24 hours, suddenly couldn't access any other websites besides www.cellc.co.za. Disconnect then reconnect and all is well.

Ginggs would it be worth a try to disable the SDcard to see if that got anything to do with it?
