Stop whining and wake up and smell the JAVA!!

I vote for all of you monkeys to stop being so defensive!

What's the point of having a forum if people can't post their own experiences? And does waiting to implement something make me a coward? Really? Well what does that make you guys then? Heroes without brains? LOL!!! GET A LIFE!!!

Silversid, forums are for whatever people make them out to be. Your opinion is your own. I still think you are a smacktard though. just my 2c.

Oh no... you didn't call me a coward troll did you? Arrrghhh my only weakness!! I'M MELTING!!!!! *gurgle*

I would have enjoyed your humour if you didnt come on here attacking people.
But all you have really done is insulted people. If you are still trying to figure out how to make friends then my first tip would be for you not to insult them off the bat.

anyhoozer, you carry on insulting and being insulted if that blows your hair back. Okay pumpkin?

Awww cute... he called me pumpkin!

Geez your post made me laugh!!!

1. I have not attacked anyone!! I simply posted my current experience in the interest of showing a slightly positive side to Neotel. It's not my fault people are impatient, bitter and immature and feel the need to take it out on someone.
2. I certainly do not need a forum to make friends! I have REAL friends in the REAL world, who coincidentally have brought their laptops to my house and enjoyed my Neotel connection! But perhaps the concept of REAL FRIENDS doesn't appeal to you guys as you would prefer to jack off to virtual anime geishas and dream of guys named Bubba who have conned you into believing that they are female, just turned 18 and REALLY get turned on by guys with pocket protectors!

Ah this is fun!! I can carry on all day!

Coincidentally, I haven't addressed the point of tower congestion. So before you all jump to conclusions (which seems to be the favorite hobby here), let me clearly explain to you all that I ALREADY LIVE IN A CONGESTED AREA!!! cell phone signals in the Orchards/Norwood area already shocking due to too many people in the area. The same goes for iBurst, Neotel and any other wireless provider. Specifically with Neotel, I have confirmed with Neotel that they have a high number of concurrent connections on my servicing tower. And even with all of this , I still maintain a solid connection and downloads at 60 - 100 KB/s.

So nyah! :)

Share the love guys!

Lol. That made me laugh. Still a retarded thread tho.

I reckon we should start a Neotel Off Topic thread and we can bash ppl.

*blah blah*

Yes you have actually, and because peoples opinions differ from your does not make them immature. It makes you quite immature thinking that though. how are you able to provide this awesome customer service you claim if you are so opinionated?

I dont really think you have friends but im not going to debate that with you.
Perhaps you should refer back to your earlier comments about not insulting people, then read this paragraph again. When you are done you will realise that my first point I made about you is 100% correct - you are a smacktard.

Have you stereotyped everyone as being someone who watches anime etc etc? You should also realise that not everyone on this forum is in IT, some people just want to use the internet.

*blah blah*

Anyway I have work to do, I will check on your immature response later.

Lol!!

Ok, enough with nonsense... I too have a team to run and tons of work to do, and as amusing as all this is, it really is not conducive to anything.

So I will use this thread just to update on my connection status. I hope I do not fall into the category of bad experience, but if I do, I will keep you updated as to how I have pursued the problem.

Again, apologies for insulting anyone... it really was all done in fun. Have a laugh dudes! Life is too serious anyway!

Just one other thing Rocket-Boy, the stereotyping was also done in jest. Sh*ts and giggles yo! I too am just looking to share my experience of using the internet, and I for one am happy so far with Neotel. Is that any reason to attack me or anyone who feels the same way?

I've checked some of the other forum threads, and there are a few with people whose Neotel experience has changed from bad to good to better. Let's just try keep the positivity going, ok pumpkin?

Dudes, it's been real... but now the time has come to drink copious amounts of beers and download episodes of Smallville and How I Met Your Mother. So have a wonderful weekend, and rape your bandwidth (if you can! HAHA)

Talk while you can. ;)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Ok, quick update. Saturday saw me experiencing my first complete signal loss... the router showed red connection three times, but each time lasted less than 5 minutes. Guess that's to be expected on a weekend, but not very impressive. However, Friday night, Saturday night and all of Sunday saw me experiencing perfect connection, with speeds up to 140KB/s download. Also, no loss of connection when playing Wii games online (Guitar Hero World Tour and Mario Kart).

Ok, so have a great week everyone, and go see Duplicity if you get the chance. Very intelligent and sexy movie, and Julia Roberts looks hotter than in Erin Brockovich!

And so it starts :D

This is a pain for anybody playing an online game.
You have to restart from scratch and you look like an @ss for "quitting" the game.

You are like a marriage counsellor who have only been married for a year or 2 giving advice to people who have been married for 20 years plus, someone who is so self-righteous and all knowing that you can't see the error in your logic,....you simply lack the experience....:D

It's one thing to be happy about your situation and another to laugh at people in a less fortunate one.

ok offensive stuff removed... doh!

Regarding my connection, this week has been just fine... some days slower than others, but no connection problems whatsoever.

And just out interest, I called Neotel to find out which areas are suffering now and why so many people are complaining, and they gave me a list of areas that are currently undergoing maintenance. Funny thing is, my area was listed there! And I've really had no trouble at all this week.

This is my experience with Neotel and I am posting it here because everyone deserves a fair say. That's the point of having a public forum. I don't really care what you all think of me, because if you find it so necessary to bash someone in a forum like this, you must really be losers of the greatest kind. I challenge any of you to come say half the crap you have to my face. Until then, go harass someone in the queue at the supermarket and save constructive opinions for the forum, k?

And one last gripe... is it so bloody hard to spell correctly and use correct grammar? This is one of my pet peeves, and it really leads one to question the level of intelligence being used when people can only express themselves with mobispeak. LOL (yes, that was sarcasm )

Can you share the list of areas that are currently undergoing maintenance please.

@Silversid

Errr... clearly you are still a Neotel virgin.

Come back and post here once a) Your connection drops to 0.0005mbps. b) They 'move' your excellent coverage. c) Log a support ticket, which regardless of how a new a service is, shoud deserve a call back in um let's say a 3 month timeframe here ?

Enjoy that JAVA while you can son.

Lol forgot about this thread :)

Anyway, a year down the line and I'm still smiling. Wasn't smiling all the time, but that was thanks to the AWESOME firmware update from the Neotel website! Anyway, swapped my router out for a new one, and since then I've been averaging 180kb/s download... it's been awesome! I also got a PS3 earlier this year (after some wonderful individual decided to help himself to my Wii), and since I swapped the router out, I've been having such a pleasure downloading, playing PS3 online etc. I just got MAG yesterday and was ridiculously surprised by how well it runs. My friend runs a 4mb/s telkom connection and there's virtually no difference between his and my gameplay.

GO NEOTEL!!
I hope I get upgraded to Wimax... that would be awesome! But for now I'm happy... paying R700 a month for 10GB cap of which I usually go over.
