Stranger Things - Netflix Original series

Hehe. Also wondering why people are overlooking the bathroom scene...it may not be a cliffhanger of Walking Dead's last season proportions but it's still non-closure.

I enjoyed the show very much, btw...it's fun in a simple way. I'm not in the "Winona was awesome" camp totally...she came across a little shrill and annoying at times but hey, that's probably the writing and direction more than her.

There's also the Eleven issue.

I don't really mind a sequel for season 2, even though many seem to be against it. I'd like to know more about the Upside Down. How do cars and building etc. get there if there's nobody to drive/build it? Does it suddenly appear when there's a change to the real world? Is there more than one Demogorgon?

Did you read (or watch the mini-series) The Langoliers by Stephen King? Feels like it might be something like that.

And the eggos in the forest.

Finished binge watching last night - awesome series.

Hope there is a season 2. They have definitely left open a few things that still need answering.

I finished watching it last night.
It was pretty good.
The opening sequence and music reminded me of Tron and the "Stranger Things" title seemed reminiscent of the Lucas film logo.

I would give it a 9.2. it is certainly the most fun I've had with a TV show this year. Amazing how they managed to make it a homage but still stand up on its own merit. Mind you Winona Ryder has this future bag lady vibe going on, she seems genuinely a bit unhinged.

christine-18.jpg No ?

Anyway, The cover-art is 80's. But the way the sound is used in the series reminds me of John Carpenter. Its as if the director stole ideas from everyone.
Still probably the best show on the year, besides DareDevil season 2 (for me)
